Watford are in decent form too, we've 2 weeks to prepare for it. I really do expect 3pts from that game. No effing about, it's a game we should try to take 3pts from if we're to stay with the top pack and not slip in to the middle/bottom pack. It's one of those fixtures that shapes/tells us what to expect for the season IMO especially after the last couple of performances. If we can man up against a team that's almost scored twice as many as us, we'll be just fine

There are currently 6 games being drawn out of the nine being played, so not much is changing in the league!! Makes these draws for us a bit more frustrating, but I console myself with the memory that by this stage last season we had still not won a game in the league!!!

Well we're sat in 9th. 4pts from 1st which is arguably what we dropped against Ipswich and Leeds this week alone, had our performances been better, who knows.
A point is all we deserved and like said, we could've even lost. 2 weeks to get Hutch fit and crack on against a good team.

Got to be happy with 9th and the start we have had. Sure its frustrating with the points we perceive to have lost, but the difference this season is we are still getting draws from most of these games instead of poor performances seeing us getting beaten!!
I just hope that we can get in a quality loanee or two and stay with the pack until the January window opens. Then MM needs to spend a bit of money and see if we can stay up there!! Definitely more exciting than last couple for years!!

Agreed, this time last year we were churning out some right shit under DJ, not sure if we were still rock bottom at this point?
I suppose we need to walk before we can run as the cheesy sayings go. Considering the limited investment we've had pre-season, and snapping up freebies we have come on leaps and bounds in that regard. I for one am guilty of being a bit impatient, it's just difficult when teams are there for the taking at times yet we huff & puff. I'm more than happy with our current position, I'm just a bit greedy and want more! ![]()

No great detail required as everyone watched this one.
We were sloppy early (again). Semedo got dispossed in our half & Leeds nearly scored. Nuhui missed a header from six yards. We looked solid defensively but Westwood had to make one wonder save from Austin strike. May missed an easy header from ten yards. Second half, Madine replaced the labouring Nuhui. We looked brighter & had more urgency. Maguire blasted in Maghoma's cross from 20 yards. We gave away a lot of silly free kicks. Leeds equalise as player left unchallenged. Madine creates space in box but shot is too weak but it is our only shot on target except for the goal. It took us 45 minutes to come out of our slumber and once we had scored, we should have won. Leeds had a quick flurry for five minutes but after that we looked secure until they scored. Westwood - 8 - three great saves Palmer - 6 - assured & composed Lees - 6 - solid, great in the air Loovens - 5 - two silly mistakes nearly cost us Mattock - 6 - Mr Dependable Maguire - 6 - generally rubbish but always has that goal in him Semedo - 6 - generally solid but early mistake could have cost us Lee - 6 - finding his feet, should be better for this game Maghoma - 6 - another assist, most of our goals come via him May - 6 - missed sitter but overall play still good Nuhui - 5 - not quite right today ......................................................... Madine - 7 - good substitution, looked bright & inventive, created two chances Helan - 6 - couple of decent runs Coke - 6 - hardly involved We didn't play great but Leeds are a poor side & we made them look decent. This was a game we should have won but we let it slip away. We now have a two week break to get Hutchinson fit & Lee back to his best. SG has a couple of selection issues as well. Maguire is suspended, so who replaces him? Helan, Drenthe or Hope? Also we looked better with Madine than Nuhui yesterday. Is it time to give Madine his first league start for 18 months?
