SWFC have invited me & my son to a free hospitality package in the Springett Suite for the Brentford match. This was set up by Mark Bright, who told the Club about my situation. Thanks to everyone involved in setting this up & hope I am fit enough to attend.

That's great news and hopefully will be a fabulous day out for you and young Padawan!!

On a side note and I know he wouldn't want me to say anything but it was Imre who got in touch with Mark Bright to make him aware of Madsteve's situation and its great to see Brighty follow through and arrange this. As MS said well done to all involved in making this happen!!

Update

Got my latest scan result which shows that the tumour has stabilised after three rounds of chemotherapy. That is good news but neither great nor bad news. I had my fourth round of chemotherapy on Wednesday and need to damage the tumour enough by the sixth round to last me for another six months as I can only have six rounds of chemotherapy in a 12 month period.

My blood results are very good which means that I am eating healthily and am able to stay on the projected course of chemotherapy.

So I should be able to see out this season and see Wednesday in the Playoff Final at Wembley.

I had my last chemo session ten days ago & have ten more days of chemo tablets to take. After that I have a CT scan (Playoff Semi Day). I will get the results abut two weeks later.

After that, it is a question of seeing if I can hang on until next January as I can't have any more chemo until then.

The other issue is that I am struggling to eat again.
