"Initial fee" of around £600k. Add-ons take it to £1M-ish, I would expect.

If we are sticking to our values in happy with that. No point getting into a bidding war over a player with a diminishing value.
Agreed. Hopefully looking elsewhere for a defensive midfielder.
Rumours flying around O'Halloran has agreed Personal terms, just the clubs needing to agree.

Can't see how we'd get to speak to him without a fee being agreed.
Perhaps its a timing issue, they may want him for the league cup semi.

Maybe, but it would be subject to fitness than and his heart wouldn't be in it quite possibly.

If it's  going to happen it will happen and if it doesn't I still think we'll go up automatically.
There will be other targets as well, and a full week to go before the window 'slams shut'. Our whole season doesn't hang on Michael O' fecking Halloran.
I am hoping any signings are for next season. As Worth said we have more than enough to win this division. It could be worse we could be pinning our hopes on signings that have been chronically injured the last few seasons.

Hearts winger's imminent arrival on loan. Not sure how well received he'll be with name like that. . . Whistle

In all seriousness, he'll do for a couple of months. Need some competition for places and to give wee Barrie a rest every now and then.
