It's happened to us time after time in the last few seasons. It's infuriating, isn't it? At least we're doing enough to make sure the result is secured despite these goals, unlike previous seasons.

Obviously we bring out the best in the opposition players.
Until we get in their penalty box that is. Two stonewallers.

A very polished and professional performance by your lads and the scoreline should have been higher. You certainly pass the ball about and move well and some of the cross field balls to bring the wide players in were sublime.
Yes you did concede but provided you are scoring five at the other end it certainly is just a consolation for them. People might say that they are in a lower division but as we have seen in Scotland and England in the last couple of days when it is a Cup game shocks are possible. Have a good night.

Are there shocks in England now ?? Most clubs down there aren't to interested in the FA cup and play there reserves, aye they're happy if they get there but it's all about prem ,getting to the prem or champs league now.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Looking at the lineups for PL teams in the 3rd round, Liverpool are the only side I can see that had a particularly weakened side. Swansea's defeat to Oxford was certainly a shock result to most observers.

Man Utd played their first 11 and struggled to beat a lowly Third Division team, needing a 93rd minute penalty to do it!! WBA scored a 95th minute goal to draw at home against Bristol City, they played their first 11. Villa played their first team and could only draw at League 2 Wycombe. Chelsea player their first 11 at home against L1 Scunthorpe, Man City made changes but still fielded a very strong team, whereas their opponents Norwich made a lot of changes and lost, Arsenal played a very strong team but their opponents Sunderland fielded a reserve side and lost.
While these weren't earth shattering shocks or even defeats for Prem teams it did show maybe a slightly better level of respect for the competition from the top teams. In fact it was more a case of the teams near the bottom of the prem that fielded less first team regulars, maybe thats a sign of the huge rewards for staying in the prem as opposed to relegation!!

I'd consider the Oxford result ( Swansea played a strong side) a shock Fred and as SCO states there were some great results for lowly clubs against top flight opposition who played very strong sides. A draw can still be a shock when the top team is expected to breeze through if they field a strong side. ![]()

That';s 3 games in a row where we have played the opposition of the park, seems we have got over the dip in performance the side was struggling from.
