So he's admitting to lying or at least being deliberately misleading about us not contacting the club, and now he's implying we must have contacted the players beforehand because there were newspaper rumours about our interest, even though this would presumably mean newspapers only ever get their info on potential transfers directly from the players themselves.

He's tried to be cute, letting on that we were speaking to the players in an attempt to get some English based clubs to beat us to it and earn his club more money. Now he's just making himself look like a idiot. If he actually thought his players had been tapped up the time to complain about that would have been in December. Mind you, I don't recall him accusing Arsenal of doing anything wrong in November when there were newspapers claims that Arsenal were interested in Windass so he seems to be quite selective about this sort of thing.

I also like that the DR is calling it a 'war of words' despite the fact it's been an entirely one-sided series of rants from Accrington. Holt's got a bit of the Mad Vlads about him and he'll struggle to cope in the world of football for long if he goes on like this.
