Josh Windass almost bagged for next season according to STV. Can't say I know too much about him but I trust Warburton's judgement, and if he's anything like his dad he'll be a useful addition. No word yet on his Accrington team mate Matt Crooks.

Crooks has now reportedly also agreed personal terms. Pre-contracts for both players on the cards subject to medicals. We might also want to settle the compensation issue before signing anything rather than leaving it til later.

Both Crooks and Windass used to be in our(Huddersfield) academy/reserves and were released as they were never going to get anywhere our first team. To be fair to Crooks he's had a fair few injuries which set back his progression.
Both have had impressive spells at Accy Stanley though so maybe they just needed a run of games at a decent level to prove themselves. Good luck to them

Always the way with some players Wakey. They end up having to go elsewhere, to fulfill their potential.

Crooks has 8 yellow cards so far this season. He'll fit right in the Championship.
