Anichebe also admitted that he has been training away from Tony Pulis’s first-team with fellow outcasts Sebastien Pocognoli, Cristian Gamboa, Callum McManaman, Serge Gnabry and, before his recall, Stephane Sessegnon.
Training away from the first team ...........
Still seems conclusive to me
These players haven't been getting game time, so in order to remain as fit as the others, they have to do extra training.
The context of the interview regarding a move, he's suggesting he's 'training alone' to keep his fitness. He just didn't mention that this was extra training or the reporter 'conveniently forgot' to mention this.
If you Google 'West Bromwich Albion Training Pics', the first link, Express & Star from end November. Anichebe is on the 3rd photo along with Sess and the rest of the first team, Olsson, Dawson, Mozza etc.
Depends what spin you put on it mate not arguing,
Fact is he said he trained away from the first team squad not when or what date, (maybe he is lieing) along with others and these were guys who were not playing, only Sess has got back in on a regular basis

But Sess IS a changed man and so the model, that's what it is worked. No idea why Vic was not in squad today but he was injured and so maybe it just was too soon for him to be considered?

I don't think he's lying - I think he's saying that the players who haven't been getting first team football (listed) have been training alone to keep themselves fit.
In my opinion, this 'alone' training is extra training.
Victor's quote is trying to make him and his colleagues look like good professionals and that they're going the extra mile to stay fit. The word 'alone' is used in a context to suggest it's their decision to do extra training rather than coaching staff. In typical journo fashion, the word 'alone' has been spun to make it sound like these players aren't training with the first team - which I'm pretty certain will not be the case.
Nowhere in Victor's interview has he mentioned that he's been 'frozen out', 'training with the kids' or anything similar like we've seen before with Odemwingie. From what I've seen under Pulis, the players always put a shift in and always know their job. So I'd be gobsmacked if players who are regularly in the match day squad are just left to their own devices in training.
