Looks like we need an Egermancy Queers Park Stranglers Fred
#1
With Snoots and Amchaff paddling around somewhere hopefully higher up the hillside than the flooded wastelands of the Calder or the Holme valleys, here's another hastily and somewhat wobbly legged fred thrown together at short notice. If there's anybody out there, feel free to comment, or please feel free to sign up and join in.

London, W12 7PJ

Town head down the M1, thanks to the vagaries of the FL computer, for a Christmas "derby" in that there Larndan Tarn. Wot's that all abart then me ol' china? We used to get Carlisle, now we get QPR. At least it's not Yeovil - then again, they've gone from the bottom of our division to the bottom of the football league in two seasons.

QPR totally abused the Financial Fair Play system a couple of seasons back to get promoted to the Prem. Under the rules the toss pots that run the league and all the clubs supposedly agreed to they should have been fined somewhere north of £50 million. In the face of a very mild appeal the League Management toss pots backed down to less than £5 million and it is doubtful they even made them pay that.

Many were expecting QPR's better players to be raided by the big or even the not so big clubs in the Prem once relegation was confirmed, particularly players like Charlie Austin, but it never happened. As a result, many of their promotion and Prima Donna League squad are still around, so it's a surprise to many that they are not in the top 6. Changing managers a couple of times still hasn't fixed that either yet.

QPR are 12th on 29 pts, Town are still 19th on 24 but Loftus Road is not one of our happiest of hunting grounds. We have yet to record a league win in this particular part of Waste Larndan. We are just above them in the form table thanks to the 3 points from Saturday. For the Southern Supporters section and all those based up north (of Watford) heading down to the game, enjoy yourself in the most Subbuteo of Subbuteo style stadiums. Most of you won't be able to see the goal right below you and some won't be able to see the far end of the ground either if you are (un)fortunate enough to be stuck in one of the corners. The sooner that place gets pulled down and they move in to a ground share at the new stadium that Brentford are planning the better. (Let's see how many bite on that one on one of their forums this time).

Herr Wagner was apparently reported to be picking the side depending who turned up for lunch on Sunday and then got on the team bus. Training on Monday morning in the hotel gym or maybe Hyde Park or somewhere close might also come into it.

Well done theo!

Dont get how qpr get away with the ffp to be honest, although isnt one of their board members on the football league or fa panel? Must help if so...

Can see town playing well today but coming out on the wrong end of the result, rather like the last time we went down there.

Think there may be a few changes to the lineup with bunn and pato coming in for dempsey and lolley or maybe huws dropping out with dempsey slotting back into midfield. We just have to keep pressing and playing like we know we can, the consistent results will follow.

Lot's of changes to the starting line up but at halftime we seem to be dominating the game. That should be the kiss of death for us. Smile

Thumb up for promoting the thread.

Ten minutes for you to snatch a winner, you have certainly had the better of the possession and chances, got to find a goal though from someone!!

Well you got your late goal, unfortunately your defence leaked one first, so it stands at 1-1 in the closing minutes!!

Get in Wells

A well deserved point. Now if we can find someone with goals in him in January ......

Terrific terrific point. Me and my old man said before the game we'd take a point but knowing town we'd play them off the park and lose and when they scored it looked like that would be the case. At times we made them look amateur and they truly are a shocking side with the amount of money they spent. Davidson despite the stick he gets on here had a good game, solid, did the basics right and Crainie looks like the signing of the season tbh for the no money we spent on him. Him and Hudson were calm and assured at the back and he seems to bring out the best in Hudson whilst Lynch seems to play worse when with Hudson. Pato again outstanding and the fulcrum of all our creative play. Hoggy and Huws were brilliant in the middle of the park and bossed their midfield completely. Bunn had a good game but my god Carayol again did absolutely nothing. He takes 5 seconds to decide what to do and kills the tempo of the play completely. Give him back in Jan or as soon as possible really. Lolley and Chilwell made real difference when they came on and was lolleys run which brought the foul which Nakhi scored an absolute beauty from. He hussled and harried their centre backs all game which was something we haven't seen nakhi do in recent times physically and make no bones about it they were a nasty and physical side constantly nipping, fouling and doing a lot of the dark arts throughout the game. Ref was pretty poor and if we had had some more clinical play in the final third we could have won it comfortably but no real guilt edged chances we missed so onwards and upwards. Going to bolton as well after a big new years day night out so playing through the pain to see us win (hopefully!)

Just got back in, a fine away day in the smoke, Town played with a swagger and bossed the game.

In typical Town fashion we had the upper hand without clear chances created, then fell to the sucker punch of a long throw and subsequent scramble that the Robbie Savage lookalikey sub hooked in. By that time we had used our 3 subs to good effect and I expected us to create something before the finish, in fact we had 3 chances including the superb free kick that left the £80k a week Green at full stretch. Fine celebrations, 892 (ive since read), a great effort for the 2nd London Town game in just over a week and the strange confusion of being all ticket then at 10am announcing you can get away tickets so expect that kept a few away or chancing it??

Scanz even had half a chance to nick a winner but it hit and rebounded off him more than a shot at 90 mins, the whole team played well, Murphys fine save when they got around us and their chap had too much time at the back peg a crucial moment. Hogg was excellent and Huws too, another couple of bookings for Huws n Huddy will come home to roost, DW got the selection right, the Aussie and Murphy back to state their case and it worked, agree with ELT journeyman Carayol back to doing what he does best - fkuc all

For all the hype QPR were pap, their fans deathly quiet and fair play to the stewards who just let everyone move from the outer Silver and Bronze shyte seating areas ( on the right hand side at least) towards the middle to get an ever so slightly better shyte view without paying an upgrade or being all arsey.

Me n Junior Sloppy stood and applauded the deserved efforts at FT and a well received response from the players and even a DW wave in appreciation.

Wonder if Bolton will increase the 2200 tickets we look likely to sell out now
