Hopefully those two scanz assists will silence a few of his noisy critics on here.

To be fair ELT he set a standard in some of his earlier games that he didn't live up to in some recent games. Yesterday he was back at his best. It likely transpires it mainly was down to Powell and his mate spending more time on trains between The Smoke and Huddersfield than they did training the team. It was becoming obvious nobody was fit enough to last 90 minutes, and given that Powell took the credit for keeping Scanz up North and away from the scrap heap of Millwall maybe says a lot. A fit Scanz is a very dangerous Scanz. An unfit Scanz, like anyone else, is just another player. Think we'll see more performances like yesterday than we saw in October/November from him from now on. When fit, he is without doubt one of the best players we have and one of the best in this division. How many others can be surrounded by 3 opponents and just leave them for dead?

Always reinforce just how many great qualities he has. His upper body strength is truly another level. I just think he is the first one to get lambasted when we don't play well and there were some very unsavoury comments now and then from fans as to why he was favoured under Powell, I criticise him as much as the next guy when his final ball is shit but if it was class he'd be playing for a top 10 prem club. We berate these players too much for too little IMO sometimes. A lot of fans still don't rate him which is incredulous really.

Can't argue with that ELT. Some Town fans will have a pop at any player if they have a poor game or two in their eyes, even if he leaves us and turns up in the Prem or a playoff chasing Championship side after we let him go (or if we had him on loan). Not hard to work out the players I mean either that the numpties have decried in the last 3-5 +seasons that are now earning more per month or so than the average idiot with a big mouth earns per year or two. Once in a while the fans need to take a breath and realise it isn't the players but the guy they are working for who is the problem. I had loads of time for Powell but didn't realise I spent almost as much time in Yorkshire as he did. Now, I can do a lot of my job on a computer, wherever it is. You can't train a football team that way though and if they ain't training, they ain't gonna be fit. If they ain't fit, they won't perform. Simples really.

As is panned out by some saying all our problems would be solved if we got rid of Peter Clarke, then it was Alex Smithies. We sit amongst them. All our problems haven't been solved because it ran (may still run) deeper than one player.

I can't say I've heard too much criticism of Scanz this season, usually the opposition try and Mark him out of the game and when they did that then we struggled as him and Butterfield were our only threats.

Anyhow, great win on Saturday and a bonus 3 points in my eyes...roll on Saturday and Brizzle City

I hear more of it in the stands with every mistake he makes and some awful abuse. On here, its now and then with some justified criticism and some uneccessary abuse but nothing over the top I've seen.. Think some fans have an axe to grind. Onto Bristol and Rotherham. I expect 6 points. We'll probably get 3.

Elliot ward loaned back to us. Could be our most important signing of the season IMO. Brought solidity, experience and quality to our back 4. Rate him so highly.

Something I have found most refreshing is the way the players all seem to have bought into the new regime. I think this suggests they realise that David Wagner can make them better professionals. This response is most encouraging and deserves our respect. I am sometimes staggered by the sustained abuse some players endure on other boards. It does no one any good and it is to no one's credit. I know he's only won one match but a season which seemed to be heading into nailbiting and resigned gloom has suddenly become one of the most potentially exciting and engaging for years. UTT!
