My 20 minute bus ride to Wednesday night's match will be a much happier one after that.

I'll start off by saying I'm happy with the 3 points.

Now then, I don't think I've ever been as depressed going into a Town game and then I heard the team...basically 7 defenders in the team. Somehow we managed to go 1-0 up thanks to a decent finish from Wells but did we deserve it....no. Hoof it over the top seemed to be the tactic and I was totally bored and uninspired from what I saw in the first half.
Second half a little better and Grant Holt has managed to win more headers and free kicks than Jon Stead has all season(somebody tell Stead he's finished).
Still lots to work on, defence is shakey, midfield too negative, and we'll need to be a lot better on Wednesday to get a point

It was nice to see less of the hoof ball tactic today and overall a lot more to be pleased with, particularly in the second half when Holt came on and beefed up our threat going forward.  First half was OK but not much different from what's been served up recently, although the second half was miles better with Bunn & Holt proving a right handful and off hand, I don't recollect Millwall having a shot on goal until late on.  Scannell also worked very hard although Bunn was my MOTM by a mile.

Glad I went today, because I very nearly missed out on a much more satisfying overall performance and Wells 's finish was worth the effort of attending alone, although why the hell did that tosser of a Ref book him, Doh  after he took the ball forward and tripped over his own legs and then unavoidably bumped into the Millwall player.

So, well happy with the overall performance and it was very nice to see a Town player (Holt) bully the opposition defenders for a change along with Bunn who also proved a right handful.

More of the same please, but over the full 90 mins and we could finally start to climb the table.  Thumb up

Can't really disagree with anything that's already been said. The first half continued in the same vein as recent games, although I thought it was pretty even between the two sides.

Second half much better more purpose, Bunn had a good game and Holt is just the physical presence that we've been missing, it was actually quite refreshing to see, the ball not coming straight back up the pitch at us. Wells took his goals well, first was an excellent strike and penalty was cooly taken despite Millwall's delaying tactics, they even took a booking to try and delay the pen for as long as they could.

Glad to get the home win monkey off our backs, onwards to Molinuex Wednesday where I'd take a point, which is then follwoed up by a difficult looking game at Ewood Park, 2 points out of that would be ok, 4 excellent and 6, we'll be hurtling towards the play off places!!

Listening to Oggy and KoR, should the Millwall lad who gave away the penalty and then pushed the ref be sent off?
It sounded like the foul was bad enough, but then to man handle the ref is a definite red isn't it?

Anyway....fantastic win and 3 points we so desperately needed. We are now only 11 points from automatic promotion and 8 from the play offs.
Come on Town !!!!!

Amchaff I'll shout as loud as I can. Got a mate who's a Baggies fan going with me. His coaching lessons on Town chants start tomorrow. T'Yorkshire accent might be a problem for him though. Peaky blinder flat caps are 10 a penny mind. He can borrow me wippets for a couple of days too.

Yay, Theo.

Shep, we didn't want him to get sent off with our record against 10 men!

Shep he should have walked. Ref bottled it even though he'd just booked him. Used to be banned forever for touching a ref. These days you get banned for wasting time or kicking the ball away but you can kick the ref over the stands and get away with it. Nuts.
