THE MATCH - SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2015 3PM KO
v ![[Image: 120px-Nottingham_Forest_logo.svg.png]](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d2/Nottingham_Forest_logo.svg/120px-Nottingham_Forest_logo.svg.png)
After the high we are all on after our midweek exploits, we and the rest of the club need to make sure we can carry that onto our league games and hope that we suffer no sort of downer in the competition that is of the most importance for us.
This week we see the visit of Nottingham Forest, a team many would have said would be in the top half of the table but one who are shackled by their transfer embargo and the loss of a couple of key players including Antonio to West Ham. This has seen them struggle a bit so far this season with them sitting in 14th and having only 3 wins from their 13 games so far. Two of those wins have come away from home against Birmingham and QPR, with the other being at home to Rovrum, so they do have the capability of rising to the occasion at times. Having said that they have not won a game in 6 games, dating back to the middle of September, so they are not on good form either!!
This will be the 137th meeting between us and our record stands at W56 D27 L53, so we have a very slight edge!! Our home record is slightly better W34 D15 L20 but in our last 10 home games against them we have only W4 D1 L5, including losing the last 3 homes games, all 1-0 defeats!! Time to stop that run of defeats!!!
This is a game we should be looking to win, particularly as its at home and because of the form and run we are on, but God invented banana skins especially for games like this one!!!! I am sure CC will have the team up for it!!
THE LAST MATCH
Not much needs saying about our win over Arsenal. Sure if was a distinctly second string team for them but they still had plenty of experience in the team, particularly in defence which we showed up a few times, so I think its unfair to take anything away from us with regards to this victory. It was probably the most complete performance from us since................................................................................fook knows when!!!!
Either way, it will have been a great boost to the whole club and one that we should ride as long as we can and see where it takes us!! I could watch those goals over and over again!! The first was a superb move, cross and finish, the secodn was a nicely worked set piece and a storming header from Joao and the third was as much about Hutchinson's desire to get to the cross from Lees as much as it was about the shocking defending from Arsenal!! Enjoy!!!!
FUNNY COMMENT FROM LAST MATCH THREAD
From Thurnscoe
"lets just foooking go at them and smash the coonts. beat these, beat florist, beat brighton, beat charlton, beat EVERYONE. stop being so fooking pessimistic"
Certainly seemed funny at the time he posted it!! Thurnscoe went from pathetic to prophetic in one game!!!
OUR TEAM
Well we know he likes to rotate the team, so what do we expect this time out?? I expect the back 4 will stay the same as Tuesday night, along with Westwood coming back in. Midfield could see some changes, I can see Hutchinson being given a day off both after his knock and the 9 bookings to keep him fresh for Brighton, Forestieri should replace Helan I would imagine (Imre will be happy about that!!) but it will be interesting if others also get a day off as well. Up front I expect we will see Hooper make his debut, he has to be better than Nuhiu and Joao will get a spot on the bench to make an impact after 60-70 mins.
The following is my prediction for the opening line-up:
Westwood
Hunt Loovens Lees Pudil
Lee Semedo
Wallace Forestieri Bannan
Hooper
WHO'S THE BASTARD IN THE BLACK
Ref - JEREMY SIMPSON
Assts - Shaun Hudson and Stephen Wade
Fourth Official - Carl Boyeson
MS will hopefully give us the skinny on this guy in previous Owls games!!
