with the international break upon us

how great it would be
to have not only England
but also Wales,Northern Ireland
and my boys in green(The Republic Of Ireland)
gracing the Euro`s next summer

i would also love to see Scotland there too(but not at the expense of my boys)

Wales are nailed on certainties to be there
Northern Ireland almost
Scotland?
Republic Of Ireland(2 tough games to go)

Any Thoughts?

over to you lot

Yep, I agree fully. Admittedly I'm one of those who thinks that unless FIFA makes some transparent reforms pretty damn quick, we should boycott future World Cups and bring back the Home Championship instead, but that's unlikely, sadly.

Really got high hopes for next year's Euros though, regardless of how England do. Twenty-four-team tournaments are always more interesting than thirty-two-team ones because the group stages become much more competitive, weaker teams knowing that just one win will give them a better chance of progressing than playing for draws or damage limitation, etc. Looking forward to it.

Incredible night's football! Norn Iron have booked their place in France, a Shane Long goal gives the Republic a win against the world champions and guarantees them at least a playoff place, and Scotland come within seconds of completing mission impossible but piss it all away with the last kick of the game. The England match has got a lot to live up to tomorrow Rolleyes

If I am reading the rules right, if Germany lose to Georgia (unlikely I know!!) on Sunday and the Republic and Poland draw then the Republic would finish ahead of Germany!! With Iceland and NI already through and the likes of Wales and Albania looking likely to qualify, there are going to be a few traditional minnows at this tournament!!

As I understand it, a 2-2 draw or higher will also see you through at Poland's expense.  Attack, attack, attack attack attack!

Bah humbug warning. Thanks to FIFA and various of its officials around the world creaming off millions and feathering their own nests, plus the patently-obviously (to me, anyway) rigged 2018 and 2022 World Cup votes, and Sepp Blatter's complicity in all of it, I have no faith and little interest in European and world football competitions. Oh, and plus the fact that England, captained by someone on £300,000 a week but who will forever be unable to lace Bobby Charlton's boots, are always shit in the finals and a complete irrelevance when it comes to actually winning anything.

Great scenes in Zenica. Bosnian fans giving Wales a standing ovation, the Welsh players celebrating with their supporters. Stuff like this is why I can't hop on the cynical, apathetic "FIFA have wrecked everything" bandwagon. Football can still be an inspiring thing when it's done right.
