Aries me old mate, how goes it in Saudi ? Any plans to go to a game at all and if so, meet up for a pint?
I agree that even the most ardent Pulis supporter haven't always endorsed his every move - given what we are seeing it would be impossible to support.
What I am seeing is the growing momentum of the shifting groundswell of opinion becoming more and more disillusioned and joining the 'Pulis Out' brigade. At first it was just myself and a few others but, as time goes on the the anti Pulis majority grows and, I would suggest, is even bigger now than the 'Irvine Out' lobby.
I also agree that the players, especially the more talented and creative ones amongst them, must find it abhorrent to be forced to be a part of some of the displays we see these days. It must be so frustrating as a player when you love playing the beautiful game only for it to be coached out of you. Someone said they might 'throw' the Sunderland game just to get rid of Pulis - that wouldn't surprise me either !

If the players themselves are getting frustrated with TP's tactics; how long before they go behind his back and complain to JP.
It happened under Pepe Mel and the arbitrators of that 'back stabbing' tactic are still at the Club even now.
If and I say IF there really is a groundswell of opinion by supporters against the Manager, his tactics and the team performances, then this needs to be brought to the attention of those running the Club i.e. Mr Peace.
As I understand it TP has a contract that runs until the end of next season and hence it would cost money to sack him.
So it's up to the supporters to (temporarily) withdraw their support by staying away from home matches.
Remember though that the absence of people watching and cheering the team on will also have a big effect on the players themselves.
It could cause a real dip in confidence and hence form and results.
However, clearly many of you are already very unhappy at the results and performances and perhaps it can't get any worse anyway.
It's all a bit of a curate's egg.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

For me Tony Pulis gets away with so much as our manager some fans seem determined to justify every decision he makes
I haven't seen any fan who has defended every decision Tony Pulis has made. We all know he did well last season, but we all know that this season he's failed to sign or use orthodox full backs, we all know he's playing people out of position, and we all know the negative tactics he's using aren't working. And I suspect some of the players are becoming unhappy with all this, something a few of us have said in the last few days.
Theres been a few on the world of twitter but that is starting to disappear a bit now after that debacle at Palace

Tom, I've been as even-handed as anyone in trying to be fair to Tony Pulis, and give him time to develop our football from one of a needs-must style into something more like attacking football, or at least something not so negative. But there comes a time when you have to say that the team and the football appear to be going backwards, not forwards, plus he's had a whole summer and a generous transfer kitty to get in the players we all knew we lacked, especially two decent full backs. I really like the man, but I cannot understand why the professional coach he is can't see that what he's doing just goes against almost all logic and most grains. You just watch, we will now embark on a four-game winning run of majestic football, and we'll all be scratching our heads but for different reasons!

I really like him too he's a down to earth bloke who i could quite happily share a few pints with he's a just a stubborn old git who's set in his ways i think many fans sat on the fence over the summer waiting to see if we'd turn up this season playing in a similar style to what he done at Palace tight at the back but pacey players who can break quickly but sadly he decided on the Stoke approach.

Tom, not criticizing, your opinion or TP, but could it be that the raw materials that we have are more clayhead than eagles. You can not make a silk purse and all that. Maybe we can eventually clear away the players that are no longer up to the job and one way or another get back the football we desire, the Albion way.

I think you're absolutely correct that Palace already had the players to play the quick counter-attacking game with people like Bolasie and Puncheon but I don't think you're correct when you talk about Pulis clearing away some of our poorer players and bringing in better football. He was at Stoke for 7 years whereas he was at Palace for 9 months; there can be no questioning which one was more HIS team. When he built a team according to his own vision at Stoke, they were the most boring, most aggressive and most dislikeable team in the league, we're only going to head further towards that direction!

Wotcher, BaggieMan. My next leave is due in December, and it's possible I'll be home round about Christmas time, and if I am I'll let you know.
