Worrying !
We aren't very easy on the eye as most expected judging by Deano's previous management history ,even the Donny fans said it was hoofball during his succesful time there , I would imagine Dave Allen isnt happy with what he is seeing .He has always said he likes his managers to play football but is Saunders capable of changing and actually succeeding in this way ?
Id accept a different style to possession football we saw under Cookie as long as we are solid and we provide attacking entertaining football but at the moment we are none of these things.
As ive said recently we have been playing the better teams in the division so there has to be an allowance for this but the next two games are both very winnable if we are to aspire to the play offs and I think these games are pivotal to Deans future at this club.4 point is the minimum I would expect.
Another thing I noticed from yesterday was how weak some of the players looked ,namely Talbot and Gardner who were out on their feet second half .Is there an argument to say that the players are being overworked ? Weve heard a lot about getting the body fat down but is this having a detrimental effect on some of them ? (I know the opposite is being aimed at SEB)enough that they are struggling to last 90 minutes and hence losing games late on .

If we lose to Blackpool on Tuesday then alarm bells need to start ringing and so do air raid sirens and church bells because this is starting to look worrying. 1pt in 4 games. Three times this season we've chucked away a lead. Wigan we should have looked for a third goal instead of sitting back, Colchester I know we were down to 10 men but at 3-1 up there is no way we should have let them snatch a point from us that game felt like a defeat instead of a draw and yesterday against Burton.

Players being overworked and getting the body fat down will have a big effect on players because they will be tired and won't have much stamina. I think we should have kept shinner because the players under his regime looked fitter than they do now.

This is very very worrying now. We've lost to a team who haven't won at home since January and weren't assembled together properly during the summer. Last time we won a game was 29th August against Millwall the whole scenario looks like a repeat of 2011-12 season under Sheridan where we didn't tie players down and let them leave on frees and brought in players who aren't the same quality as the one's who left.

We've brought in players who are crocked. The whole team looks unfit and can't last a full 90 minutes without switching off. The style of football and tactics are abysmal we've gone from playing quick, attacking entertaining football to what I can describe as a Sunday league style of play. We can't defend and keep conceding late last minute goals which is totally unacceptable when your 2-0 or 3-1 up you shouldn't be sitting back on your laurels you should have the ball and keep hold of possession or even look for another goal to put the game beyond the opposition. You can excuse a result or two due to certain players injured or suspended but you can only use that get out of jail card so many times.

Results are poor the style of football is poor which means gates will drop and that means less bums on seats = less revenue. If we don't beat Crewe on Saturday I can see a lot of fans staying away from home and away games.

Whilst I don't think this team is quite as bad as the Sheridan team that got relegated, I don't have much faith in Saunders to produce a team to excite the fans and be up there at the business end .I sincerely hope I'm proved wrong.

While I've been away on a fairly crappy holiday ...... the results have had an equally crappy look, but somehow we just won against Crewe with Simons and Dieservwue up front so things can't be that bad can they?

Or maybe they are. We don't sound as though we've many fit players.

Now I don't want to say I told you so, but pre-season when we were after a centre forward Leon Clarke became available. I said we could do much worse than go for him. We seem to have done much worse looking at Bury. And Ebanks-Blake marooned on the bench.

Fair play to Saunders he saw it wasn't working and was brave enough to make the changes for today.Whether those changes improved us we wont know as Crewe are probably the worst team in the division.
I notice Blackpool won again so maybe they aren't as bad as we first thought.
Once again it looks like there isn't much between most teams in this league.

Anyone bothered about the JPT on Tuesday? I think we shouldn't concentrate on the JPT but if we win against Rochdale then it may give us confidence ahead of Gillingham and Walsall.

The chances of beating Rochdale must be minimal.

How has Gnanduillet fallen so far down the pecking order? He seems like sixth choice. Okay for one minute.

O'Neill was supposed to be out for weeks - played yesterday .......

Did Chapman go on loan again whilst I was away? If not, why is he not on the bench.

Is there any point to Lee Novak? Couldn't we ditch him back to Birmingham, who would've loaned him to Burton if they thought he had goals in him, and find someone on loan who can stay fit and score?

What happened to Onovwigun? In the Burnley friendly he came on and was a revelation, which made me hope he might replace Ryan?

If you look at last season we slumped from top six-ish to around seventeenth, before steadying the ship and starting to climb. Is history just repeating itself or have we hit a Sheridan after a bright start.

Scott Boden must be eyeing a return to Halifax after their result yesterday and Sheridan's arrival at Newport.

We need to play SEB and Armand against Rochdale and save our best strikers for the league ...

I agree SEB and Armand would produce an unusual combination for Rochdale to handle ...... and if they really are below Simons and Diesgobyendlesslyvuwe that would keep our leading boys not men fit for Gillingham. And if the Rochdale combo worked we might try them against Gillingham instead.
