Would you even think of watching us on the box? It's one thing to support them through thick and thin and let's face it we all do, but if you were a neutral would you honestly think....ooh West Brom are on tonight, let's watch the match!
I wouldn't.

To be honest, I find lots of teams in the Premier League boring to watch. Us included.
Apart from Man City and Arsenal, there's none really worth switching the TV on for.
Of the sides outside the top 6, there's only really Leicester who actually try to attack people.
Liverpool and United are the most boring they've been for years. Chelsea's philosophy under Mourinho is very much like Pulis' when they play sides of a similar level. You've got Swansea and Spurs who pass the ball around but have very little cutting edge and tend to rely on wearing the opposition down.
I generally think that the British mentality is 'win at all costs' which in itself negates entertainment. With the added money in the league, that mentality isn't going to change anytime soon either. I'd much rather watch La Liga or the Bundesliga where sides actually give it a go. It's a myth that the Prem is the most entertaining league in the world in my book.

I said the same point to someone at work today slick - the vast majority of teams are so petrified of losing / conceding because of the money at stake, there's a lot of attacking intent gone. The teams like United and Chelsea who have flair players are really struggling (in general) to break teams down.. In general I quite like watching Swansea, Leicester and Palace in the Prem. After that it's relatively average.

Impossible question to answer (or at least, impossible to draw any meaningful conclusions from), because people - especially when they're neutral - watch football for different reasons, or at least define excitement/entertainment in different ways. I hate the so-called "grand slam games" - and the fact that Sky have taken to calling them "grand slam games" in the first place, FFS - because they're so often cagey and low-scoring, and ultimately all they decide is an annual title race which is nothing more than a glorified game of musical chairs. What would draw me to the telly with interest is if a team like Leeds in '92 could find a Cantona out of nowhere and march to the league title off the back of it, all within two years of having won promotion. Even a Norwich '93 leading the race on a shoestring budget before blowing it would suit me. Unpredictability makes things interesting, but the English game has just about lost it for good.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of millions worldwide who seem to disagree with me. I'd hazard a guess that most of them wouldn't tune into an Albion game right now. In fact, I'd venture the suggestion that even if Albion were managed by Eva Carneiro in a blue and white bikini, and fielded ten strikers riding around the pitch on wildebeests, most of those people would barely summon up the will to locate the remote control amid their mountains of Man Utd merch.
And that, in a nutshell, is the problem.

MOTD is now a waste of space; unless we have had a really good result I can't be bothered with it.
One day, when I have nothing better to do, I'm going to sit down with a stopwatch and work out just how many minutes is dedicated to the football and how much time is spent listening to overpaid numpties dissecting the previous match. I'm really not interested in endless replays of incidents such as the off ball battle between Chelsea and Arsenal players resulting in a red card and, studio comments suggesting that it really wasn't that bad after all.
Presumably they would draw the line at a player retaliating by pulling a knife on an opponent. But, then again, perhaps not.
This win at all costs attitude that condones such behaviour and sometimes actually encourages it is just one of the reasons why this once 'game of the working man' will ultimately die.
Even down in the National league, you see players being constantly pushed in the back by defenders attempting to win an aerial battle. Scuffles in the box at set plays and referees just turning a blind eye to it all.
All very sad!!

Football, as we knew it, is dead.
All we are doing is clinging on until the inevitable slide down to the Football League. Meanwhile, the same 4 clubs will be taking turns at being Champions.
Meh!
Doh!

I am an Albion fan, and I don't go out of my way to watch us on tv, but my reasoning is that I refuse to fund sky, bt and the other media moguls who fail to recognise the majority of football fans and pander to the north west and london. If your not in the FA (exclusive) club you don't exist or even worse, matter. When we have a balanced unbiased coverage, then maybe just maybe I will spend my hard earned pennies on watching tv football. I will continue to watch free to watch games and I will continue to record Motd and run off the drivel and watch the last game on ......... us.
