Scottish League Cup Round 3, Tuesday 22/09/2015 : Rangers v St Johnstone, KO 19:15 hours, BBC1 Scotland (Virgin cable channel 862)

Get the match thread up now. This match clashes with Villa's ELge Cup match, but I will be watching Rangers.

Although this match is on the BBC, I will still post streams if any become available.

Looking forward to the match, and see how they cope playing one of the "BIG BOYS"

Could always record the villa game Larry Wink

Looking forward to the game it will be refreshing to play a side that wants to play football too.

Aye, this one is going to be interesting. Will St Johnstone dare to try to take the game to us? I can't see them getting enough possession unless they press us high up the pitch and we can't handle it.

I also don't think they have the pace to hurt us on the counter-attack either.

I think their only hope is to score the first goal and pack the centre of their defence for the rest of the game. In fact that may well be their default defensive position if we manage to dominate possession like we have most of the season so far. Of course, if they pack the centre of defence that leaves plenty of room for Wallace/Tavernier to probe and create space on the overlap.

I can see McKay and/or Oduwa hurting them with their pace, especially if the game is open.

I'm not so optimistic.

I think we can win, but don't have any expectation of it. Although, in saying that, I've seen zip of St J this season, they may well be pish poor.

I think they will defend well up the pitch to try and contain the marauding Wallace and Tavernier.

Rangers to win by one goal in a well contested match.

I see 2-1 for us think we will be comfortable enough tomorrow, they will be far more concerned with worrying about Waldo and Tav to hurt us. Seeing us concede a sloppy goal towards the end.

O'halloran is a decent player and has good pace, but st Johnstone have been terrible away from home so I think you will win this one.

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, Wilson, Kiernan, Wallace, Holt, Halliday, Zelalem, Oduwa, Waghorn, Miller
Subs: Kelly, Ball, McKay, Law, Shiels, Aird, Hardie.

Holt and Kiernan back in, Miller retains his place and Oduwa beats McKay to a starting spot.

A very typical line-up.

Well, I leave the house to take the boy to rehearsals and "bang bang" 0-2 down.

Wtf?

We were looking ok for the first 15 minutes I saw. What happened?
