In post-match interviews, TP appeared not to know why we didn't make our superior numbers count at Stoke, nor why we didn't take the game more to Southampton, or why our midfield was so impotent. And if he doesn't know, how can he set the team up properly? Right now, I can't see where our next win is coming from, and it won't be against Villa, not the way we play. I just don't understand it. Just give attacking football a go and see where it gets us. But we won't play attacking football. We'll play for a tight draw and lose. Nailed on.

TOLD YOU!  Whistle

To those of you who went to the two games at Villa Park last season, I hope this one lays a few ghosts for you.
Well done, TP and the boys. Great win and a decent performance by the sound of it.

Only disappointing thing about today for me is the wife proclaims to be a Villa fan, even though she hates football and only says it to wind me up, so no point giving her stick as she would not really care Huh

Salop, hating football and being a Villa fan go hand in hand after todays showing.

And I thought we were a poor side this time last week. The words Benteke and 1 man team also go hand in hand.

Apparently the rumour Myhill was asking for a sun lounger isn't true.

Dropping my son to Cumbria uni early tomorrow morning so 2 daughters staying at brother in laws and his family who have all been today as mad keen Villa fans. I've held back on the gloating texts just so they don't mistreat my girls.

Still loving the bragging rights.
Didn't go or watch online so going on comments by you guys.
The defensive side speaks for itself and see,as expected ,we lost the possession hands down but created a lot more chances ?
Think people very hard on TP when they say he is tactically clueless when he is the opposite. Pretty it may not be but results (wins especially) speak for themselves.
Very happy bunny tonight and raise a glass to you all x

Exactly the result that the lads deserved today, big performances from everyone on the pitch (especially so from Fletcher and Brunt) and if Rondon had taken his chances it would have been a rout.

Over to you now, Blues!

I have to hold my hand up and say Evans (who I didn't think much of when he signed) has been superb.  Fletcher (who I criticized) was also solid with some great driving forward runs.  Good performance all round, and definitely something to build on.  Well done T.P and the lads.  Thumb up

Don't you just love the egotists who refer to themselves in the 3rd person?
Tim Nice-but-Dim's words last night after his latest nightmare:-

".......Tim Sherwood is at his best when he is backed into a corner".

Laugh Laugh

Hope "Keep Right On" echoes round Villa Park on Tuesday night.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
