In post-match interviews, TP appeared not to know why we didn't make our superior numbers count at Stoke, nor why we didn't take the game more to Southampton, or why our midfield was so impotent. And if he doesn't know, how can he set the team up properly? Right now, I can't see where our next win is coming from, and it won't be against Villa, not the way we play. I just don't understand it. Just give attacking football a go and see where it gets us. But we won't play attacking football. We'll play for a tight draw and lose. Nailed on.

Sadly, I also think this is how things will pan out. TP will NOT want to lose this one so almost guarenteed to park-the-bus.

Villa have been pretty shit so far and a game v's us is just the tonic they need. Just like last year.

Like most people here I'm feeling a mixture of nervousness and pessimism. I live in Brum and share a house with a Villa fan, so I'm going to catch some flak if we don't get at least a draw.
I really hope TP plays a 4231 with Bez Mozza and Cal Mac behind Rondon. If we still haven't scored with 20 mins to go then move Bez central. Please no more 442 with Rondon and Lambert up top. I've got bored of that already after about 2 games.

Got to agree with Lambert and Rondon not really working so far. As much as I think he'll be a decent signing for us Lambert looks so off the pace at the minute. Hopefully he's on the bench rather than starting this week but he definitely needs game time in the cup I reckon.

Noticing Fletcher saying the right things in the press at the minute... They need to walk the walk to go with talking the talk this time though.

This post is not a joke:

I really think we'll turn up for this game and do ourselves justice; there are enough of our players who have been here long enough to know that the team owes the supporters nothing less than 100% effort - for a change - in this one.

I realise that we still have to be set up right to win it, but I don't think our defence will be as ponderous and as lacking as it was last year. I imagine we'll still sit pretty deep, as they still have got more pace in their attack than we have in our defence, but I believe we'll cope better this year.

2-1 to us Thumb up

I've been saying exactly that since early August, Drewks. But it seems to get worse each week!
I hoped that as soon as Pulis had a break from his new job as Manager-in-charge-of-procurement, and got back on the Training Ground we'd be alright: he might show the team how important it is to keep passing the ball to our own players; and also to show a bit of desire to get in the opponents' box. So far (!!!!!) I've been wrong. If they can't show 100% desire tomorrow, God help them.....and us.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

I heard Blues were only getting 2,800 for next week, though I thought there were rules in place that Visitors had to get 25% for Cup games (?) Have the Police stepped in with some ruling?

If you are going, try not to set fire to the place on the way out.  Whistle

Sounds like the same allocation that we've been given mate. Also to any that might be going, try not to set fire to the Witton Arms on your way out of there either. Not that the Seals will be using it again according to this  Whistle

Mixture of nervousness and excitement for this one.

Really hoping we see a front 3 of Rondon, Berahino & McManaman. After seeing the full 90 I'd recorded of the game against Leicester, we really need to take the game to em and use the width and pace that we know we have in those 3 lads above.

COYB!

Tibby how do you do this - impressive and I'd like to know:      Not that the Seals will be using it again according to this  [Image: whistling.gif]  It's the "this" bit.  BBB
