Just seen that too Ska'd would think he'd have stayed on for the full 90 if he didn't intend to give him some sort of run out on Wednesday.

He scored and then came off after an hour, so it's possible Irvine might fancy putting him on the bench for Hull.

...sounds very promising - let's hope so

Arsenal knocked out by Southampton tonight, that's another of the big boys gone. Could be one of those years when the competition opens up for a "lesser" club to capitalise. Really hope we give this a proper go for once.

In theory this does open the door for us. But history suggests that when things get 'easier' we open the door for others!

I would love to make some witty, supportive, remark about the game tonight but
I'm still trying to figure out who plays for us....that last transfer window scrambled
my brain. The names on the team-sheet mean nothing to me just yet apart from
the ones from last season...and Lescott of course. I don't think Hull are a push-over
this season which means we will probably win 7-0.

AI said earlier this is an important competition. 11 changes but a strong team on paper!

O'neil in midfield ? The sky app is suggesting a diamond with Blanco behind the forward 2.
Or is it a 4-3-3 ?
