I remember - or seem to - a load of times when he's messed up headers close to goal like today. Can't remember many he's scored. I may be completely unfair to him but no doubt others can put me right if so.
If it's true, again you'd hope there's a lot of coaching going on but I;m not sure it's very effective.

He's scored a few headers (easy ones), If you look on youtube there are videos with almost all his goals but he's fairly poor in the air.

Very difficult to disagree with that.

Why can't they find anyone with the remotest bit of football knowledge?

BBC monitor screens must be monochrome. #cuttingedge

Manchester City (H), Watford (A), Chelsea (H).
I wonder how many points people expected from those opening fixtures?
I do agree we should have shown more against Watford in terms of % possession and attacking intent.
Let TP get his signings in and playing before we judge him too soon.

Just getting back.

0 width, which Watford had in abundance. 0-0 a completely fair score line.

I think Brunts best position is left back, altho he can pass the ball incisively forward, of which we have no one in the side to do. I don't mind us not having width (I'm used to it after Jerome Thomas started losing form and was never replaced) but we must have someone that can either pass the ball forward and create something (like a cabaye or carzola) or someone who can run at players an beat them, (I. E. Sessegnon)

We have to be the easiest team to play against (not necessarily score against, but play against) We have big players who put a bit of a shift in, with no one giving them any sort of service, or crossing the ball.

On the plus side we got a point, and berahino was a real battler today and was good for the most part, with his harrying of the defenders and using the ball and his body well. Myhill was fairly assured too.

UUsually don't mind gardener but he was poor today.

Pullis told Sky Sports: “We’ve lots of business to do and lots of work to do. Unfortunately we’ve not been able to do but I think we’ll eventually get there.

“When we get there we can start working. When I came in last year, the main priority was to stay up.

“This is a season of change, we’re hoping, and people are going to have to be patient in lots of respects because there’s going to be new players coming in.

“They’re going to have to work and work with the group. I’m hoping if we can do the business we’re trying to do, I think we’ll surprise a few people. The quality and competition will hopefully go up.”

Back from Watford, poor game but a point earned.
Not really sure what some fans expect and a minority booing were well out of order.
Spotted Lescott at Watford junction catching the train in his club tracksuit, what's all that about ?
Very loud rendition of shit on the villa at new St station which was about the most entertainment all day!
Draws away from home are the norm so get used to it !
Don't agree that Watford were all over us at all. They were as bad as us, Jurado apart who really caught the eye.
Gardner - oh dear why is his playing ?

While my brain tells me that TP is going to give us the dreadful football we all complained about Stoke playing in his time there. My heart (or clinging to straws) tells me hang on and hope for the Palace times of TP's playbook. Either way I am going to have to wait and see.
