I'm certainly glad we've not just gone with another 'Rangers man'. There are benefits to having someone in there who gets the club, its history and its expectations, but football moves on and so must we.
For what it's worth though, I don't think Le Guen would have ever done much. The problem under him wasn't that we weren't doing what he wanted us to do, it was that what he wanted to do was never going to work. The whole question of lifestyles etc. was just a sideshow that distracted from the fact his tactics were unsuited to the Scottish game. I don't think he's done anything since leaving us to suggest he has it in him to bring about a footballing revolution.

That's the funny thing - I think he could have brought us consistent success in Europe, it's just that I'm not sure we'd ever have qualified for it!

Sibbald could be a good acquisition but I think that would be one for a pre-contract in 6 months.
Good move to get Sinnamon out on loan, and there's one or two others could be doing with something getting lined up. Murdoch especially needs to be playing top team football now after his match time last season or he'll just regress.
Could our mystery loan man be Macleod? Just a shot in the dark but it would make a lot of sense now for all parties. He still seems to be struggling with injury though judging by his complete lack of involvement in Brentford's pre season.

Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem might be next in the door on loan according to reports. The 18 year old is another midfielder whose youth career included time in Germany and the US before his switch to Arsenal. I'm not going to judge his ability too much on the basis of a youtube video, but he looks like a confident lad who seems capable of playing right across the midfield. He'd be another good addition to the squad.
