Swindon boss Mark Cooper says he does not know whether Sheffield Wednesday have made an approach for him.
The 48-year-old has been linked with the role of assistant manager under new Owls head coach Carlos Carvalhal.
Cooper, who led the Robins to the League One play-off final last season, has a year left on his deal.
"Speculation was rife and I was linked to the job. I don't know if there was an approach. It's up to the chairman to comment on," he told BBC Wiltshire.
"Nothing should surprise you in football. I've got a job to do, another season to go and I'm really looking forward to it.
