Craig Davies like Leon Clarke or even Jon Stead is a player we could maybe get and then only maybe .... Jed Wallace dream on, young, 16 or more goals from midfield he isn't going to play below the Championship. A striker like Garner I'd love, but I'm afraid they're not easy to find. Jay Emmanual Thomas I'd love, but he'll be in the Championship - and I don't quite get why Steve Cotterill didn't want him.

I think Dancing was right, Davies did get goals for us because he was fed them. Morgan and Whitts helped him a lot.

Effectively there's little difference release and not offering a contract. Talbot could go to Barnsley tomorrow and if he's got a bit narked with our attitude he might do it. Ryan wants to go, fair enough.

Drew Talbot has signed a one year contract with us.

Great news about Drew. All we have to do is get him back him to fitness and reliability now.

I don't think he'll talk Gnanduillet and Ryan round though do you? Gnanduillet it's his agent you have to convince innit? Ryan seems consistently to have been keen to fulfil his contract, but then ...... move on? Still we'll see, good news.

Ryan I think will bound for Portsmouth, Armand I don't know I would like to see Armand stay for another season with him its more confidence, when Armand's confidence is high he plays fantastically but when its low he might have a bad game. If Armand doesn't sign a new contract with us then I hope he finds another club soon because I believe the right manager could get the best out of him.

I'd like Armand to stay too. And I think Saunders rates him.

Ryan's fine, a good player, but if he wants to move on it's better he does. I wouldn't choose Portsmouth if I were him. I keep imagining the reaction of the Pompey crowd if Cookie loses the first couple, any ex-Chesterfield players will get a rough time of it.

Armands blood is blue and I honestly think there is a better player their than Cock ever recognised. Maybe Saunders can bring him on. Ryan could go any where but if Roberts decides to stay I can see him possibly staying with us. If that happened I can see Cock getting a bit worried that apart from his cronies he hasn't got the following he expected. Long live king Dean. Crossley Drew and Mitchell makes it 3-0 by my reckoning.

I too hope Cook doesn't get who he wants .I think the fact that Drew did a U turn after speaking with Dean is a massive positive step and makes me feel a lot better about the future under Saunders .Both Drew ,Big Norm and Lee Fowler have spoken in glowing terms about the new manager and that has to be a good thing.

I must say I laughed at Paul Mitchell's generous frame under his Serendipity healthcare logo (which in itself is one of the least successful attempts at branding I've ever come across) UNTIL I read what he said. The man actually wants to repay the loyalty shown to him and is happy with Chesterfield. He's turned down offers .... for us! Paul Mitchell you are my new hero! Wear any shirt you like and find us some more Charlie Raglans.

I agree Armand has more to give than he has so far been able to show. I hope his opinion, rather than that of his agent is the big factor in the decision. I'd like him to stay.

I wish Mr Cook no ill at all. He has however taken on a long-term project in Portsmouth. Unfortunately they show every indication of wanting very short-term success. He's a capable man and he might be able to deliver it, but if I were him I'd be envying Mr Saunders' task of trying to keep good players and build on success. Recruiting almost an entire team and losing your best player into the bargain isn't the easiest place to start.

If or when Cook gets Portsmouth to the Championship then they will get rid of him and get another manager. I will say this I don't think we've seen or heard the last of Paul Cook at Chesterfield.

I think if we can keep most of the squad together and add a few new players then why can't we be in the playoffs or even higher next season? I think we need two new strikers and a defender maybe another midfielder if Roberts or Morsy goes. Does anyone think that Harrison and Mani were panic buys when we sold Doyle to Cardiff? and will we see them more under Saunders? I was told by a Cheltenham Town fan that Harrison is hit and miss it all depends if he's interested. I would like to see more players from the youth team getting a chance like Laurence Maguire and Jake Beesley.

I think Mani was definitely an investment for the future. Harrison surprised me. But look what happened to Cheltenham without him! It did give us some relatively cheap shots at replacing Doyle's goals.

The youngsters need a bridge to get to the first team - youth football develops skills, but they need to test themselves against men. It helps if, when you have injuries, you bring in a young player of your own rather than loan in a Premiership development player (and do the job the teams with the big rewards should be doing for English football).

I think Morsy has to go for himself. Roberts, well if he wants to go, I'd be after Maghoma from the Wols big time. We certainly need another defender, a young defender. And I'd like to see a keeper to replace Chapman who has had time to prove he can reach the standard. No one doubts his ability, but a reserve keeper who is never fit is not even an ornament. And yes I'd try to sign an experienced striker, but he has to be cheap ...... because I'm still hoping Armand might lead our line.
