Assuming everthing goes well in the games before, I think Motherwell will prove a tougher task that Ross County would have!!! Well done to Ross County in staying up for another season!!

1 thing at a time, but I agree Motherwell are probably a tougher prospect for the other playoff finalist than Ross County or even Kilmarnock might have been. It'll be a blow to them though if Scott McDonald gets a 3 match ban for his red card at the death as he'll miss both legs.

Rangers: Bell, Foster, McGregor, Zaliukas, Wallace; Murdoch, Law, Shiels, Vuckic; Miller, Clark
Subs: Simonsen, Mohsni, Smith, Black, Crawford, Walsh, Boyd.

McCulloch still out 'injured' apparently. Smith drops out for Clark, suspect we'll be going with a standard 442. Not sure that'd be sensible seeing as we don't have to win the game and QotS do. Seems an overly attack-minded line up.

That'll do. Roll on Wednesday.

I thought we were nervy at 1-1. And poor decision making in the attacking third, but well deserved winners.

Not quite the confident perfomance you were probably hoping for, but at this stage its all about results and you got what you wanted, and to be fair probably deserved!! Going to be a couple of fun games coming up against Hibs and that one is far too close to call!!! Good luck!!

SPFL1 Play-Offs QF2, 17/05/2015 : Rangers 1-1 Queen of the South

That was another good game between these sides, with the right result on aggregate for Rangers.
I was wondering if it would be 'one of those' games, where we dominate the play but the opposition win it.
Fortunately the job was done at Palmerston Park, so the draw today was enough to progress.

Match Report : Rangers FC - Rangers 1-1 QOS (3-2)

Attendance :  48,035 (SSN)

Manager's verdict : Rangers FC - No Time To Be Tired

I agree with Worth. We were at our worst in that match when it was 1-1. We stopped pressing high up the park, game them acres of space out wide at the back and gave them more corners than we needed to. Clearance from Vuckic on the line - someone give that man the freedom of Ibrox. He's been well worth half a million and then some! Meanwhile Bell is giving me very little confidence at the moment.

I thought we should have tried to be a lot cuter in the final 5 minutes and kept the ball. We only took it into the corner once and even then Law tried to put in a ball when we could have had a corner or throw in to waste time.

A relief to have got past the first hurdle, and now we need to take the good aspects of that performance (and there were plenty) into the Hibs games and cut out the nervy crap.

Like I said before my first ever game North of the border. What can I say?

I'm still trying to work out if Rangers were poor or Queen of the South were good. Now I know this is the second division of Scotish football but for some reason I was expecting Rangers to be better than what I saw, maybe it was just the nerves kicking in but time and again I saw misplaced passes that put Rangers under pressure when they simply didn't need the pass. It's safe to say I wasn't impressed.
Although fairly dominate in the first half a combination of trying to walk the ball in and taking a pass or touch too many was Rangers downfall and the QofS keeper had very little to test him and what did was mainly at him, likewise the only thing the Rangers keeper had to do was pick the ball out of the back of the net after Rangers backed off too much and allowed QofS to just stroll forward unchallenged.
Second half better from Rangers, and were it not for the QofS keeper it could've been 3 or 4, a couple of decent saves and one that just struck him as the header seemed destined for the back of the net but still they made hard work of it. Initially I thought the equaliser was offside but on the replay it seems to show he was level. After that It was going ho from both teams especially in the last 10minutes, Rangers were defending deeper and deeper and having to defend corner after corner, one that was headed off the line(good last ditch defending) but they had chances to kill the game off. 3minutes of added time and for some reason RFC are still trying to score instead of running the ball into the corner and kill time...they have to learn to kill the game rather than getting carried away by the crowd.

Why would you expect more of Rangers Wakey??,there league position should suggest how they have played this season.

To be fair though they had enough chances to be out of sight before QOS scored.
