I'll try feeding mine with that then. The wrappers keep coming off the chocolate fingers and bunging up the memory card slot. Anyone at the match? Arsenal are getting the run-around in Dortmund.

They did put a bloody shift in so fair dos but, what's with the LONG BALL!!! It doesn't work!!! Doh

We must have wasted 15 minutes of the game lumping it in the air! Come on Powell, this is a backwards step!

We never really looked convincing and don't think we believed we were ever going to score. Pelts played ok at CM but we just didn't have enough creativity in the midfield and we couldn't create any decent chances.

In the end though, a point is a point I suppose.

why does everyone not see peltier is a bloody full back. He CAN play CM or CB, with the emphasis being on the can. butterfield wasted out wide. stead useless, danny ward we might as well cut our losses in january and recoup a bit of the money we paid for him. Defence did look tremendously solid which sounds alien saying. Hudson making lynch start to look reliable again. Two of scanz, bunn, lolley or hammill NEED to start every game otherwise we have nothing up front. Lillis had our formation spot on. variant of 4-5-1 with wells up front on his own. no hammill in entire 16 two games straight is worrying. something must be going on surely?

Agree with most of that but did think Stead worked hard tonight.

Another poor game tonight between two poor sides and Smithies trying to waste time yet again to preserve a single home point, summed it all up for me.  Town offered next to nothing going forward and it's easy to see why we've only picked up 4 points from our last 11 home matches, which is a disaster no matter which way you look at it.

7 goals scored in these 11 home games is also indicative of where the problem lies - a total lack of quality in our current bunch of forwards and a desperate need for some real Championship quality goalscorers. As for Wigan, they were no better than Town, although they could have very easily have pinched the points had they taken any of the three guilt edge chances they had.

So all in all, yet another disappointing match and little evidence to date that anything is likely to change in the short term.  Sick

In Dean Hoyle I frigging trust.  Huh

worked hard granted amelia but if we work hard all season and get relegated, not much point is there? need some quality up front. Can't fathom how bunn or hammill can't get in the team. Hammill top assist maker last season and scored a few goals. he is vital to us creating goals this season if we are going to shut up shop and hope for some 1-0 wins

Smithies was actually going to time waste at the end until the crowd started raging at him!

A highly entertaining match played between two all out attacking sides...............would've been nice. Rolleyes

Thought Smithies was outstanding again........compared to how he had been playing. Robinson looked much better tonight, really getting stuck in and at last getting forward a bit in the second half. Smith tugged their lad's shirt again, just before he took another three steps into the area and got booked for diving. Laugh Laugh Somebody tell Smith to stop it.
Hudson and Lynch, top. Hope Lynch is alright.
Midfield lacked creativity. Thought we gave it away too much, Coady in particular tonight. Wardy started well, but apparently had a migraine.
Wells looked lost for most of the match, but the man of the match again, by a country mile was Jon Stead. Nah, only kidding, but he did work hard. Pity that that's just not good enough.

Jon Stead, Jon Stead,
Jonny Jonny Stead,
He's got no pace,
But he is ace,
Jonny Jonny Stead.

Crikey, better than Saturday but in all honesty that wouldn't have been hard but in all honesty it was poor again. Midfield far too deep, too many smashed hopefull long balls and just general crapness. We carry no goal threat and look blunt, if we had have been playing until midnight we still wouldn't have scored. Not sure what Powell's plan is but after two games I must say I'm a little concerned as to where the next win or even the next goal is coming from. It could well be a long season.

Judging by the last few comments this isn't going to be a popular opinion...

I thought we were ok tonight, in fact I thought we put in a bloody good defensive shift. Prior to tonight's game we'd conceded 15 goals in just 6 league games...20 in all comps over 8 games.
We have to start somewhere, and that place IMO is defence and it's obviously Chris Powells thinking, I thought we were very solid as a defensive unit against a team that are no mugs and will finish top 8 this season.
I thought Hudson and Lynch put a real shift in and when Lynch went off Wallace stepped up to the mark.
In midfield Coady and Peltier did what was asked of them, ok this was at a cost of a bit of attacking flair but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Even though we weren't that attacking I reckon you could argue that we had the better chances to win it.
What we desperately need right now is a target man(if playing 2 up top) who can hold the ball, challenge for the ball, win headers and a few free kicks(grant Holt) because unfortunately for Jon Stead he doesn't do enough of all that. Yes he huffed and puffed but I think most of us agree he isn't the answer
