Well we are 3-1 down into the second half. I'm following updates on twitter.

Sounds like we've got loads of chances but just snatching at them.

Armand has come on for Boco with 20 mins to go.

GET IN!!! Doyle has got his 2nd of the match. Its still 3-2

3-3 DOYLE SCORED FROM THE SPOT. HIS 2ND HAT TRICK IN 2 GAMES.

FT 3-3 DOYLE IS ON FIRE!!!!!

10 goals in all competitions.

The Ginger Costa. For him this is a season's worth of goals by mid-September.

I think we might need several defenders tho' the way they're going down and off .........

And if you had gone for broke in injury time you would have won. Match report on my thread fairly shortly. You played well.

On Saturday at the Keepmoat The Ginger Costa will be on a for a hatrick of hatricks. Has any Chesterfield player ever achieved this before, or even got close?

Over to SpireMatt, the memory men and the research wizards.

Apparently no one has even achieved two hat tricks in a row let alone three

Doyle is the first player to net consecutive hat tricks for Chesterfield in the football league.

I don't know if a Chesterfield player has done it before.

Just been doing some research online and found out that a player called Jack Balmer who played for Liverpool scored 3 consecutive hat tricks in 3 games in November 1946

9th November 46 - 3 vs Portsmouth
16th November 46 - 4 vs Derby County
23rd November 46 - 3 vs Arsenal

Messi scored 3 consecutive hat tricks in 3 games in 2009/10

3 vs Valencia
3 vs Real Zaragoza
4 vs Arsenal

Hi guys,

Harry McCorry scored consecutive hat-tricks against York City and Heckmondwyke in 1915 and Samuel Wiseall doing the same in 1897 in games with Grantham Rovers and Dresden United, but both of those were in the days when Spireites were plucky non-leaguers.

Reaching double figures at Preston North End means he’s the quickest Chesterfield man since Colin Cook in 1933-34 to do that.

found that all on my own and didnt copy and paste at all...*cough*
