Who Stays...Who Goes?
#1
Greetings you lot from a very sunny Colchester
hope your all enjoying this good weather.

despite the recent naff results (QPR/Leicester)
and as you all may know by now i`m always the eternal optimist,i still feel we will stay up.

the point of this post is...

what players do you think will not be with us next season?
what replacements would you like to see

is TP the right man for the job(basing that on the many TP out posts i have seen)

your thoughts please..

Stay Positive

I'd keep Berahino / Brown / Lescott / Fletcher and Mcauley.

Anyone else can go if they / TP wants. I'd probably keep sess as he is our only player that has an ability to best the mab
Obviously players like morrison / brunt will probably stay for squad strength, but after the top 5 none of the rest really inspire me.

There's arguments for a lot of them (Gardner / brunt etc) but if we could replace with better I'd be happy.

This might sound very harsh but i honestly wouldn't be bothered whoever left i'm sick to the back teeth of the squad to be honest some of them should of gone a few years back our better players are still only very average and Berahino thinks he's a lot better than he actually is (though he has got lots of potential as we've seen)
Still seething from the last 2 weeks

If Pulis is still there, thinking about who he might actually play, I'd keep:

Foster, Myhill, (get a new one)

Lescott, McAuley, Dawson, (a new one to start)

The full backs can all go (again)

The centre midfielders can all stay

Do we have any wingers to get rid of?

Try to keep Berahino, get rid of eiher of the other 2 if we're offered decent money. Get a striker even if all 3 stay.

We need about 10 signings.

I'd start by getting rid of the guy who is supposed to be identifying players that we might bid for.

Olsson as I don't think he's committed to the cause anymore.

Possibly Mulumbu if the right offer came along.

All of our current full backs since clearly TP doesn't rate any of them.

Berahino if someone is daft enough to offer £20M+ for him.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

I'd love to see a back four of Trippier, Caulker, Lescott, Taylor next season. I wish....

Mixture of who I think will go and who I want to go but will probably stay:

Gamboa, Wisdom, Pocognoli, Davidson, McAuley, Baird, Olsson, Dorrans, Gardner, Mulumbu, Sessegnon, Berahino, Ideye, Anichebe

But as I have been saying for the past month, I have no worries if any of the squad go as none have shown enough quality/commitment to warrant staying.

This all dependent on us staying up though, relegation is a real possibility and that will change everything.

Sessegnon has to stay for me, one of the few players with any pace and creativity.

I'd keep...

Foster,Myhill (2 good goalies and Myhill has shown we do not need to panic if Ben is injured)
Gamboa - hopefully can be given a chance, he is a modern day fullback who loves to attack and the game he played away at Liverpool this season he did nothing wrong but hasn't really had a chance since!!!
Lescott,Dawson - keep these 2 centre backs, get in another 2 younger ones.
Pocognoli - would like to see him stay as well as another LB join.
Mcmananan - will stay, another new right winger needed
Fletcher,Gardner,Mulumbu,Yacob,Morrison - would like to see all these stay as CM options.
Sess - often used out wide but think we need to keep him as on his day he is by far our best player. Another PACEY winger needed.
Anichebe- brings something different and when not injured can be unplayable.

The rest can do one. 20 mill for Berahino? Yes please. Brunt needs to go. Baird and Davidson will not be good enough.

We need pace, out wide and also at the back. Pace is the way forward these days and every good side has pace in abundance. Look at bolasie at Sunderland, ripped apart o'shea and has done the same to many teams all season.
