Looks like I'm the first Spireite to make the big leap across to the new site hopefully I won't be the only one. I will try and drum up some new Spireites for this site who weren't on New 606.

I'm here and ready with jokes about Austrian defenders, the Holy Roman Empire, pizzas, drinks, Scunthorpe as a concept, cross-dressing wolves in blue sheep's clothing ......... Hope he turns out to be a good loan- signing

And good old Gerry Sears is dead. Pooch I think is long-serving enough to have watched him too. A neat and classy full back. I remember strong rumours once that Man City were in for him, but it never happened ....... Lovely memories, thanks Gerry you were class.

Heard Hitzlesperger on the radio talking about the positive reaction to his coming out as gay. Hope the reaction of his English friends was as broad-minded as the Germans. I suppose he's our only known gay Chesterfield (even is he was on-loan) player - unless Spirematt has a different statistic. He scored us a cracking goal - must really have had that foot like a traction engine ..... We are here and babbling, can we attract more Spires to our new home?

Sorry Dev my debut was 1974 against Plymouth at the age of 11 so I cant remember Gerry Sears
The team I watched then contained the likes of Albert Holmes and Ernie
