Huddersfield Town v Fulham

Bizarre game but we were so predictable and Wells 2 missed pens just sums our whole season of stop n start one step forward 3 steps back, frustrating home fans to the max.

We really need this fortnight to gather ourselves for 2 tricky back to back Easter weekend games that could leave us with way less than the 9 point gap we somehow still maintain over Wigan who thankfully just seem as bad as us.

Edgar should have been hauled off after the sending off, Smith changed to the right side of a 3, CP took off Hogg who (frustrating as he is with his sheer unwillingness to pass/drive forward or shoot) was getting stuck in and breaking up play doing that part of his game superbly. Coady was the one that went off the boil and should have been subbed. We just seem rudderless when we hit a sticky patch and dont have anyone who really steps up to drag us out of the trenches. Scanz had loads of ball but often 3 defenders on him, never again will a goaly punch, parry, fumble so many efforts and not have some thirsty striker mopping up for the easiest hatrick on offer, didnt Wells or Millar think I might just gamble next time we have a shot and charge towards the goal??

Fulham fans will be pissing themselves all the way home after watching that, sucker punch 96 th minute breakaway just the kick in the trollocks those remaining to the bitter end needed.

I am genuinely concerned over next season, s/ticket sales will plummet folk are looking for positivity from the club, why havent we signed a left back on an emergency loan for example following Robbo's injury.

And where was CP when we ran out of ideas, yep hiding in the dugout same as Rotherham. - get a grip man!

We will limp over the line at Blackpool im convinced but its going to be a rough 6 weeks.

I don't know about anyone else but I thought that was crap. Fulham scored a goal very early doors, God knows how though. I sit in the south end of the main stand, I've a mate who sits in the south end of the Kilner and several mates who sit in a box in the FM Stand...none of us knew quite how they scored.

Town had the majority of the first half and most of our efforts the fulham keeper could've chucked a hat on to save and when he did have something to save he had a bit of luck
Second half, 1st pen a obvious penalty..yes the ref made a right hash of who to send off but he got it right in the end. Keeper saves, fair enough.
Pen number 2. Shocking. If you can't score from 12 yards twice then we deserve nowt.
Subs...woeful, whilst I agree with going 3 at the back it took Powell too long to change it and then we ended with Smith as left wing back. Then he subs Smith instead of a shocking Edgar(awful) and his sub of Hogg lost Powell even more supporters

Deans season ticket spiel also known as bollocks says we are improving year on year...bullshit. This team as it is now is worse than 12months ago and only the fact the bottom 3 couldn't buy a win is saving us...relegation next season unless he dips into his pocket

Their manager can't believe how they nicked the points today. Neither can I to be honest. We were on top of them for 90 of the 98 minutes played. 30 something attempts and they scored twice from the slack hand full of times they ventured over the halfway line. Powell outers can stay at home for me. We should have walked away with 3 pts today but not his fault that their keeper saves one penalty, Nicky Nacky noo smacks the second one against the post or that numpy Vaughan wasn't available. The frightening thing for me is that their joke of a goalie is our England U21 keeper. How freekin scary looking forward is that?

Wolves and Fulham we've had 62 shots at goal and scored 1...it's not unlucky it's called not being good enough.

Another thing...just one of those games

As was Wolves 1-4
Charlton 3-0
brentford 4-1
rotherham 0-2

How many times can we make excuses for the crap Town serve up

We can make those excuses for ever, Wakey. That's life being a Town fan.
It's not a modern thing. Town have been like this as far back as anybody still alive can remember.
We blew a 5-1 lead at Charlton in the 50s. But in the same decade we beat Everton 8-2
Lost promotion on the last day of the season in the 60s when we lost at home to Coventry. But finished the decade by getting promoted.
Went from the 1st division to the 4th in the 70s. But finished the decade getting promoted.
Lost 10-1 at Man City in the 80s. But in the same decade we beat the Champions of Europe in the Milk Cup.
Got beat in the Autoglass Final in the 90s. But then beat Bristol Rovers at Wembley the following year.
Lost at home to Birmingham to get relegated on the last day of the season in the Noughties when six results needed to go against us to go down. But if we hadn't got relegated we would never have seen that Michael Collins last minute winner at Bellend Road.
Now we lose at home to 10 man Fulham whilst missing two penalties. This time next year........
Life as a Town fan has never been easy and it never will be. Anybody who doesn't enjoy this roller coaster ride ought to get off now cause this is one helluva bumpy ride.

Anyway, how the frig did that bloody carthoss Smith not get a red card for his elbow on Lynch? Right in front of the liner. He saw it,flagged for it, ref gives a yellow card. How on earth was that a yellow card? How could it possibly not be a straight red?

That was laughable yesterday, bloody laughable, embarrassing. Its becoming a total circus, the club have zero ambition, the players aren't good enough, Powell appears pretty clueless and everyone's sick to the bloody back teeth of it. I'll renew my season ticket, only out of habit not because I really want to or think that I'm going to enjoy it.

Anyway, back to the game. First minute conceded direct from a corner, really, that's the first joke, second we dominate the rest of the half, carve out good chances but fail to score, hit the post and Fulham keeper makes some good saves. Ok I think, they can't keep us out for ever, so feeling its only a matter of time before we get the equalizer.

Second half continues in the same vain, in fact its like the game at Craven Cottage all Town. 2 penalty misses, Fulham reduced to 10 men, we continue to miss chances...Fulham get the ball deep in injury time burst upfield and score xxxx crap Town, embarrassing.

The ref didn't cover himself in glory either over the first pen. Its a penalty and a red card, simple, instead he manages to change it into a 5 minute delay and to Fulham's advantage. I surprised how badly did got so wrong. The delay probably contributed to Wells missing.

Snoots, can't reply to your pm for some reason. Only got mobile internet access at the minute, so just sticking to posting on DATM at the minute in the main. Nothing wrong. Sorry about my dropping out of the prediction league, cannot copy and paste on my mobile so it makes it difficult to make the predictions.

Sometimes, the only reaction possible, is to have a bloody good laugh. It all sounded just too ridiculous to be actually happening for real. Have to confess, when we were awarded that second pen, I instantly decided to go for a pee, 'cause I knew, just knew what was going to happen. In fact, didn't put the headphones back on until the excitable bunch on DATM had blown a gasket and revealed precisely what I expected to happen. Knew it. Laughed so much, had to nip back to the lavvy !!! Laugh
I'M NO PESSIMIST.....JUST AN OPTIMIST WITH EXPERIENCE !!
