How was that tackle that scythed Dawson down not given as a penalty???

Any news yet on Fozzie's knee. Fortunately Boaz is a more than able deputy.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

http://www.reddit.com/r/footballhighlights/ These guys always post MOTD within hours of broadcast. Obviously there might not be much of us given that we're usually near the end of the show.

How come MotD didn't show that episode of play? If he'd had a Chelsea shirt on, it would have been played over and over.

Other point: Can we get Billy Jones back when Mackems get relegated?

They think he's sh*te. The reason we got rid of him is because we knew we could do better for the wages he wanted, unfortunately we balls up another transfer window but we still can do a lot better than Jones.

I know it doesn't really belong in this thread but the talk of Billy Jones above has prompted it!
This next summer is going to be ANOTHER huge one, and I reckon with TP at the helm we'll be a much more attractive club to join to a much better calibre of player. Manager of the Year, never been relegated.....well, if I was a player looking for a safe club with great potential to join, we'd be up there with anyone outside the top 6.
Billy WHO???

Like last season Brunty deserves all the credit in the world for playing out of position because the team needs him to.
However, whilst you know he doesn't have the pace and can't expect him to tackle like a recognised defender what is going on with his crossing and corners- they have been woeful for weeks !!!
Sorry but Poco must have fallen out with TP not to get picked.
Credit to Dawson who again played well(apart from the slip which gave everybody a heart attack) as he is also out of position.
New LB in the summer please. And a right back both with some pace.

Had it on good advice that TP doesn't rate Poco,Gamboa or Davidson defensively so Brunt & Dawson will remain unless injured so I guess we just need to get used to it as you say. As long as we keep winning I'm happy, just hope now we are nearing the safety point we play a bit more attacking away from home ? As you know I'm a huge fan of the manager of the month/year and delighted he has saved us from the drop.

Squirrel,

I did respond this morning but my epistle seems to have vanished.

I'm generally in agreement with what you say about Brunty.  How ironic that what used to be the forté of his game, crossing and corners, has deserted him.  What disappoints me is the constant exaggerated and, in my opinion, mostly unwarranted, criticism of this good clubman.  Goodness knows we all have players who are not our cup of tea.

Slick_Footwork made an interesting contribution to the Poco, Gamboa, Davidson thread yesterday.  You may have read it.

As most of you know I am not Brunt's biggest fan BUT credit him for doing what's asked of him by TP.

Yesterday his deliveries were below average and there was one particular corner he took down the BRE that went straight to Bergovic who didn't have to move off his line, Guess what Brunt did.............YES he threw his arms up like a petulant child and had a go at the players in the box. It's always someone else's fault with him, never his.

Morrison joined more or less the same time as Brunt and he is still an integral part of our team, he was brilliant yesterday.

I'm sorry to say this but if Brunt is still getting into the starting 11 next season I will be quite upset. We've had the best from him and it's time to move on and I think he will as TP has already taken the captaincy away from him.

I would of course wish him all the very best.

On a side note under TP at home played 7, won 6 (all of which were clean sheets), lost one. Goals scored 16, against 3.
Pretty Impressive and those three were the loss to Spurs which was a flattering scoreline for them.

Great win yesterday over the Clay Heads. Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up
