WBA vs Coventry & Charlton - Match Thread

Have to wonder how many players have relegation clauses and see light at the end of the tunnel. If we go down I can honestly see us fall through the league this time. We aren’t just poor, we are piss poor. We will need someone who knows about lower league teams. The management team seem incapable of understanding the Championship with the experience they have so they are going to be rabbits in headlights one division lower.

I had the email from the club last night - "Get ready for Charlton Athletic".
I hope they've sent it to ER and the players.

Are you absolutely certain they weren't calling you up for the starting eleven?

I gather from Google that St Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes, so perhaps we could try to track him down. Don't know if he wears navy and white, though.

I believe he is wearing royal blue and white at the moment and living in a rented flat in S6!!!

To be fair first half I think most of our players are having a decent game, except perhaps in the last third, it would be good to see a bit more from Maja and some more confidence in the last third. Just as I post George Campbell 1-0 AT LAST

Is Maja playing? We are completely toothless in attack. Delighted we scored but MJ apart, with some decent overlapping from Styles, we are devoid of any creativity.
I’d be tempted to bring Heggebo on for Maja; at least he gives 100% and his physical presence might make their centre backs work harder
The light at the end of the tunnel is the light of an oncoming train

And do we think we can hold on to the lead?

Not only do I think we can hold onto it I think we can add to it, ad long as we don't get silly.
