Great day for Scotland today, Calcutta Cup win over the Auld Enemy........, er, sorry Team GB with the Men curlers winning 7-4 against Czechia, the Women curlers beating World Champions Canada by 7-6 and Kirsty Muir qualifying in the Women's Big Air competition.

The Men play Germany at 8am and Switzerland at 6pm tomorrow with the Women at 1pm against Sweden. Kirsty will be airborne once again at 6.30pm on Monday.

In the Women's Skeleton, Team GB's Tabatha Stoecker finished 5th, with Freya Tarbit 7th and Amelia Coltman 9th. No medals but great stuff from the women with the Mixed Team Event still to come tomorrow.

I thought they were too negative after the break. That of course is the opinion of someone with a small amount of knowledge who thinks she's an expert every 4 years!

I quite agree Amelia, but they're international curlers and we're not. For me there's too much emphasis on putting guards on and then taking them off, whereas I'd be trying to use opponent's guards for my benefit by drawing in to the rings behind them and letting them worry about when to remove the guards. Be positive and put pressure on them, that's my motto.

Yes, I think that would be better. We seemed to be wasting stones.

Have you any thoughts on Canada, Ritchie? Cheating, not cheating? They had a nice turn of phrase, that's for sure. I didn't expect that on a curling rink!  Laugh

Definitely cheating if he did what is claimed. Of course as we're totally reliant on technology, we don't have umpires on the hogline. One seated there with a mobile phone would be enough to see what happened.

And it's the last thing I expected to happen. If you commit a foul in any way, you must admit to it - similar to snooker. Unless of course you're the type of player that thinks you might get away with it. Forfeit the game should be the penalty. That'll stop it!

An odd thing to do. Doesn't give you any advantage. Huh

I think it's like Nadal's ball bouncing and hair flicking.

But... if It's against the rules, there can't be one rule for one and another for another.

The GBR Women are on the ice right now against Sweden.

Huw Nightingale and Charlotte Bankes have qualified for the Mixed Team Snowboard Cross Semi-final.
