This morning the Albion ambassador in London handed the Football Association a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland and/or deduct a bajillion points from Leicester, a state of war would exist between us and relegation. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this club is up shit creek.

You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to Mr Ramsay that all his long struggle to secure survival has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more or anything different that he could have done that would have been more successful, except for literally everything from day one.

I would say to you now that I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering and of going to Small Heath on a Tuesday night. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: it is to wage war by sea, land and air (but mostly land, unless Norwich ends up underwater), with all our might; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. Against having to play Port Vale ever again.

That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: it is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Let us take up the task with buoyancy and hope. I feel sure that our cause will not be suffered to fail (unless, of course, it does). And so I say, "come then, let us go forward together with our united strength."

To victory!

And as Curchill the nodding dog would say “Oh, Yhhhhes’

Although I don’t think he can insure us for relegation.

Looks like it might be a 4231 today but never know with Ramsay. Could be Styles at centre half and Jimoh-Aloba at left wing back! Doh

O’Leary
Gilchrist - Phillips - Mepham - Styles
Molumby - Mowatt
Wallace - Price - Jimoh-Aloba
Dike

I hope that is the formation, but got a feeling he’s going with 5 at the back again with Wallace and styles as ‘wing backs’. Hopefully I’m wrong.

BBC says 3421 same as every game 3 centre halves! Portsmouth exploited it last week down our flanks looks like another nail in our coffin and as for 1 striker and of all people Dike wtaf? As well as Johnston benched along with Heggebo Maja I fear we’re in for another hiding today I hope I’m wrong ?

He's made some progress, picking 4 at the back and selecting our best 2 in the middle - Mowatt and Mulumby.

However, he's dropped Johnston and Heggebo, IMO our best 2 players this season...

Why? It seems like he's unable to get everything right.

Of course we look better than when we played 5 at the back. Everyone knew we would.

But we're still as dull as dashwater.

Issac Price is the least creative number 10 I think I've ever seen. Barely any passing ability, no skill, zero vision. Missed real easy chances to play Wallace and Jimoh in, he didn't even get his head up to see Jimoh.

Mikey needs to come in and Jimoh can play in the 10. Honestly don't get what these managers see in Price. He's got a good shot but his alround play is woeful.

(Hoping he scores and shuts me up in the second half).

Second half could go either way, but I don't think we really look like we're going to create.

Well, more than I expected. Sounds like they battled but low on quality. Could be a valuable point come the end of the season.

It was touch and go whether Johnston even made the bench he is suffering from a strain in the pubis area (no I am not making it up), as for Heggabo, I rate him as well but no goals in 10 as a striker, could imply he just needed a bit of a rest or a bit of motivation, but when the midfield is not getting you the ball, you will struggle to score from the halfway line
