If you're t'errified t'watch T'Owls, T'erriers or B'aggies, it might be worth a t'ry t'find BBC Scotland on your list of t'errestrial channels t'experience a lower league Scottish Cup t'ie on Friday night. It's Formartine United v Buckie Thistle at 7.45pm, also on the i-Player and BBC Sport website.

Quote:Club Statement:

Due to the anticipated crowd size and for the comfort and safety of all supporters attending our upcoming Scottish Cup Third Round tie against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday 29th November, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to implement a no dogs policy for this fixture.

We know many of our supporters enjoy bringing their four-legged friends to Foresters Park, and this decision has not been made lightly. However, with increased attendance and activity on the day, this measure is necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

This weekend see the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup being played with the strong possibility of a couple of League clubs being dumped out by "lesser teams". I'm thinking of Queens Park or Ross County. Following Snooty's post above, I'll be bringing news from the Tranent "dug-oot" Whistle Doh and how it affects their Cup chances.

Friday 28 November
Linlithgow Rose v Queens Park - shown live on BBC Scotland channel from 7.30pm
Saturday 29 November
Airdrieonians v Hamilton Academical
Annan Athletic v Buckie Thistle
Ayr United v Turriff United
Banks O' Dee v Ross County
Benburb v Montrose
Bonnyrigg Rose v Spartans
Camelon Juniors v Edinburgh City
Dumbarton v Auchinleck Talbot
Dunfermline Athletic v Queen of the South
East Fife v Arbroath
Elgin City v Stirling Albion
Forfar Athletic v Partick Thistle
Kelty Hearts v Brechin City

Well, the Third Round shocks did come along, but needless to say, not at the games I predicted. St Johnstone were dumped out at home by Cove Rangers, while Camelon Juniors at home to Edinburgh City and Auchinleck Talbot away at Dumbarton led the way for the non-League teams.

Third Round Results
Linlithgow Rose 1 v 3 Queens Park
Airdrieonians 4 v 0 Hamilton Academical
Annan Athletic 4 v 0 Buckie Thistle
Ayr United 3 v 0 Turriff United
Banks O' Dee 0 v 2 Ross County
Benburb 0 v 3 Montrose
Bonnyrigg Rose 1 v 2 Spartans
Camelon Juniors 2 v 1 Edinburgh City
Dumbarton 0 v 4 Auchinleck Talbot
Dunfermline Athletic 2 v 1 Queen of the South
East Fife 0 v 2 Arbroath
Elgin City 4 v 2 Stirling Albion AET
Forfar Athletic 0 v 2 Partick Thistle
Kelty Hearts 2 v 0 Brechin City
Peterhead 2 v 2 Greenock Morton AET Morton win 5-3 on penalties
Raith Rovers 1 v 0 Alloa Athletic
St. Johnstone 1 v 2 Cove Rangers AET
Stenhousemuir 4 v 1 Clachnacuddin
Stranraer 2 v 1 Clydebank AET
Tranent v Inverness CT now to be played on Saturday 6 December

"Dugless" Tranent won't Winalot of Chums after the call-off on Saturday because of a waterlogged pitch. ICT have Cup Pedigree and a quick Butchers at their Scottish Cup record reminds us of their headline-grabbing win over Celtic in 2003 (as long ago as that?) plus their famous Cup victory in 2015 and also as beaten Finalists in 2023.

Maybe more musings after the game on Saturday, leaving us with the complete Fourth Round Draw.

Third Round Report -Groundhog Day

Tranent's game against ICT was postponed yet again today because of a waterlogged pitch. A report from the SSPCA suggests that the canine poulation of the town was to blame for the state of the pitch in protest at their exclusion from the Cup tie. The tie is now due to be played on Monday 8 December at 7.45pm - dogs permitting.

Fourth Round Draw - ties to be played on the weekend of 17 January

Kilmarnock v Dundee
Airdrieonians v Arbroath
Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic
Stranraer v Queen's Park
Kelty Hearts v Cove Rangers
Aberdeen v Raith Rovers
Camelon Juniors v Elgin City
The Spartans v Tranent or Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Dunfermline Athletic v Hibernian
Stenhousemuir v Greenock Morton
Rangers v Annan Athletic
Partick Thistle v Montrose
Livingston v St Mirren
Heart of Midlothian v Falkirk

Aye Snooty, now that the cats have joined forces with the dogs, there's no chance of the rain stopping.?s+ ?s =?️ then ?.

McDiarmid Park in Perth must be the best bet for any rearranged fixture, because the weather forecast for this coming week promises the same outcome.

It looks like I can't do emojis on my phone. ???
