One of many poor decisions over recent weeks. I will however cut RM a little slack, he certainly can’t be held responsible for Molumby’s stupidity which undoubtedly contributed to the result. But some of his selections / decisions are so so poor.
Mind you, he can only pick from the players he’s got and some / most of them are just not fit for the job.

It's often said that when a team is down to 10 men it's harder to play against and get through.
Except when that team is us, obviously

Poor from Mulumby, but he does have previous...
If I recall, he got sent off ridiculously against Bristol City last season costing us points. He's the best of our central midfielders at the moment - which tells you a lot about our lack of quality - but he's a walking red card.
First foul was totally unnecessary. Yes, Johnston was down and appeared like he could've had a bad knock. But we had everyone behind the ball so just needed to defend diligently. The irony is we had won the ball before the Mulumby's foul and opted not to put the ball out of play. After that, you can't blame Cov for playing on. Not only was the foul a booking, it was also in a dangerous area. Surely it's easier to just defend that phase of play with 10 than give away a free kick in a danger zone, especially when it comes with a booking. But common sense doesn't seem to apply to the modern day robot, sorry, footballer...
After a booking so early in the game, you just felt a sending off was inevitable for him. He doesn't really seem to have the professionalism to control his emotions.
You could argue that if Mason did his homework on Mulumby's history, he probably could've took off at half time. But I'll give him a pass on that, you do expect a professional to adapt after a booking.
I was fuming that Mason took Johnston off though. I assume he blamed him for Coventry's first goal as he didn't get back in and mark the guy who headed it in. It was poor defensively, but at the end of the day he's our best attacking player, he set up both of the goals and looked positive every time he got the ball. To haul him based on one defensive mistake when he's set up two goals is pathetic in my book.
Even more so when you've got the likes of Issac Price who does nothing either offensively or defensively, yet starts every game no matter what. I hope I'm wrong and he comes good, but I think he was a one game wonder. The lad can't pass and doesn't have any skill, yet he plays number 10 without any defensive duties every game. For me he's our weak link in the attacking third and him playing number 10 is one of the reasons why we have scored so few goals. I think his lack of quality is glossed over by the fact that he has a good shot and has chipped in with a few goals.
From a positive point of view, we saw that Heggebo can actually score if he gets service. My personal opinion is that our lack of threat this season has been down to the midfield rather than the forwards. However, we looked more dangerous with Grant and Johnston both starting together. For me, we should be starting with Grant, Johnston and Illing-Junior with Price benched or dropped deeper (at home at least). Or, Grant and Johnston with 2 strikers. Our defence is poor, so surely our best form of defence would be to attack. On paper, we have one of the best attacking lineups (wingers and forwards) in the division. Sadly, they're being held back by Mason's negativity.
Big game next week against Blues. We certainly have the quality to beat them at home, but Mason will probably set us up for a 0-0.

If you realise Mason is after the sack and his £3 million pay off cheque.
You will see he's doing a brilliant job.

Well we got through the first half, but why are we playing as if we are away, looking for the counter? We will not survive another 45 minutes of inviting them on, we need to get back to how we played in the first 20 minutes or it will be Coventry all over again.
