One woe doth tread upon another's heel, as Queen Gertrude remarked; if only we could make one win tread upon another's heel every once in a while, a lot of our current woes would go up in smoke. Sadly, since our handy home win against Preston a fortnight ago we've suffered back to back defeats on the road, and so it's back to the drawing board in tomorrow's early kick-off. Visitors Sheffield Wednesday admittedly have it worse by far, presently on a four match losing streak and six games winless, with the season's solitary league win coming at Pompey and a 12 point deduction rounding off the misery. But as the move into administration rids the club of Dejphon Chansiri's toxic ownership, it still has the potential to be a new leaf turned for the Owls, and they really have little to lose by having a good old go at us in tomorrow's encounter. For Albion, huffing and puffing to average a goal a game, a repeat of the Preston showing is what we need to put a poor two weeks behind us.
A trip to current playoff contenders Charlton follows on Tuesday evening, promising us very little based on our recent form. Three points from this week is a must if we're not to see our downward slide continue.
