The banana-est of banana skins that ever banana'd in its way into our hapless path gave us a right old banana-ing last weekend, and as we lie prostrate on the pavement six days later, what should be hurtling down from the heavens but a big old grand-piano with an anvil on top? That's the setting for our trip to Teesside tonight, where unbeaten Middlesbrough await with a recent record against us so formidable that you could stick a baseball cap on it and call it Tony Pulis. It's been a full six years since our last success at the Riverside, a 1-0 win courtesy of Hal Robson-Kanu, and Boro are scoring enough (nine in five) whie conceding few enough (three in five) to make a repeat highly unlikely.
We can, at a push, hang our hopes on our away performances so far being markedly superior to home matches, which raises the possibility we might at least give Boro a game. But it'll be an uphill struggle, and realistically a point here would be fantastic.

Ska’d, another high quality write up.
I think the footballing gods will not favour us tonight.
Our recent record against boro is not great, three wins, three draws, seven defeats.
Lost the last three without scoring.
Not really hitting the back of the net as often as we should with the amount of shots being taken.
Not totally convinced by Josh Griffith.
Need the defence to be on top form.
Fingers being kept crossed ….. come on you baggies!

My hopes of a new dawn are fading, new manager, new squad, same old problem.
Don’t mean to be so pessimistic but I have been here to many times.
On the positive side, I send heggebo needed to start scoring and he has.
Leicester up next …… can’t see a win coming there either, sorry to say.
Breaks my heart to have my faith so broken by so many oh so nears. Hope springs eternal, I hope we can get back on track.
Albion til I die ….. come on you baggies.

It has to be time now for the new lads to come into the team. Mepham did when he signed so it has to be time for Gilchrist, Taylor, Collyer and Iling-Junior. The players who Mason has had to play before of the small squad have all done very well to get us currently in the top 5, but last night showed the distinct lack of quality in the final third. Defensively it was sound, offensively it was pretty and some of the passing play was good but was also toothless when it mattered towards the Boro goal.
Gilchrist has to come in at right back for Campbell, Taylor in at left back for Styles, Colyer in for Molumby and Junior in for Wallace. Plus Johnston starting again. I think Heggebo should keep his place up front as he needs more support round him rather than his playnot being good enough

I agree on the whole with one more change, I'd like to see what Styles can do in midfield if he does not have to worry so much about the LB hole.
