Hes not been happy since his head got turned and after poor recruiting in January (which wasn't his fault I get) he couldn't get anything out of the team. It may be to protect himself legally (depending on the details of his current contract with DC) against penalties or for compensation reasons. I’d like to think new owners would want to retain him but once ownership has changed they could establish a new contract amenable to both parties or just thank him, pay what he’s owed and then release him without handcuffs to the open managerial market.
