Further maths.

I've made it to 10 games so far this season, possibly going to get two more with Mansfield and Wycombe. 21 a game for me this season cost wise. If not 24. It would be 36 or 37 a game next season, if I had the same hit rate.

So really it's not an overall cost of the season ticket. It's the cost per game.

I am thinking of getting a season ticket at emley where I live instead. I'd be closer to home and it would take me 2 mins to walk there and back. I might find that an easier sell to the partner than trying to convince her to let me do 20 games with a terrier pup coming in November!

Well @ 18 games x "£25" it's still cheaper to have a Season Card. @ 18 games x £20 it isn't. These are the typical number of home games we have on Saturday. I can't be arsed, even though retired, with coming up for midweek home games. On a sliding scale down to 10 games @ £25 Town don't make much, if any, more money than this season. It will happen with a lot of current season card holders. I congratulated the club on their offer to B&W supporters for money off in the Club Shop yesterday, then tempered that with the Season Card offer today. Do I think they'll listen? Not for a single minute.

Well that's my thinking Theo, although I went on 30 a game, as last time I paid on the day I reckon that was the price.

I think I'd miss August and some/most of September. May possibly get some of October, November is where it changes, so possibly none there, maybe the festive games in Dec, few to none in Jan, same for Feb, and possibly same in march and April. So my ten game thought is probably generous from me.

Being given a free ticket when people are away possibly gets me in those months where it would be a no as it would be an absolute one off.

But I'm not going to hold much hope. It will be TV and fawanews for me

I'm never sure how true to life these things are or where they get their info from, but if Town were saying they couldn't match Alfie May's wages at Brum there's a strong smell of total bollox in here somewhere.

Healey on top wages when we never see him? I'd be asking for a refund. I thought Ward was taking the hug and kiss but this bloke has it in spades.

It would appear the BBC are getting fucked over yet again, regardless of our so called Government.
Radio Local now have to put pre and post match stuff on BBC Sounds rather than their own Clips page, which will no longer (or not for much longer) be available outside the UK. If you are lucky, it will turn up somewhere on BBC.com. I'll try my best.

How to win friends and influence dumb twats (aka Trump) in furrin lands eh?

That does look like a load of bollox, theo. But you never know rhese days.

Anyway, back to the cheap tickets thing. Bradford announced they're keeping theirs cheap and today had 23,000 in for a 4th division game. I know it's taken them years to get up to 2nd in the table with these cheap prices, but watching on Sky Sports News, the atmosphere did look buzzing.

People have said that we never complained before when we paid for expensive season tickets. Maybe not, but we had a half empty stadium. As soon as the cheap tickets came in, the atmosphere improved, as did the results. And Chaffers bought one.

Chaffers has told me I could go on my own and she won't have one. But I'm not doing that. I used to go without her yonks ago when she worked Saturdays, but we go as a couple now. Nagle and co have priced us out.

People have also said that the likes of Burton, Shrewsbury and Cambridge charge more. Maybe they do, but 5,000 season tickets there and the ground is full. Five thousand for us is an empty stadium. Get the place full. I've not enjoyed going for years now, but blind loyalty has kept me going.

I now have my excuse to finally stop. And what's more, you may have noticed from some of my other posts, I don't even like football now. Modern football is boring!

Now Nagle wants us to fork out over a grand to watch third division football. The bloke's a multi millionaire. You bought the club. You fund it.

Oh, and CARTWRIGHT OUT!!!!! Whistle

You’re not on your own M’Lord, loads of long standing fans tw@tter and DATM saying they won’t renew.

We’ve seen some shocking performances this season and some dreadful errors but this is the biggest of the lot and it comes from the very top.

I’d also point out that Kev and he board haven’t helped themselves, it’s not hard to find quotes from them out there that contradicts what they have just done, as I said yesterday though it’s his “toy” and he’ll do what he wants just like all the other club owners out there.

As I said before, £300 OK, £325 I'll live with, £369 the season after next, maybe, but from what I've had to watch this season when it takes me the best part of 3 hours to come and watch them, at £369 next season, meh! You've a slack handful of home games to prove to me you are worth that price. Been watching Town at least as long as Snoots so I'm no one season wonder.

His ‘video diary’ will be interesting this week. I’ve posted the question I’ve raised on here on match day pricing and wanting to know the value of the season ticket in comparison on Dave’s DATM thread as nobody from the club knows is yet to respond to the same question on tw@tter despite tagging the club and htafchelp into it (plus Dave and Kev out of desperation)

I know the answer will still be expensive season cards but at least then we can work out the savings.

As for myself, I’ll probably renew where I sit now but but Mitzi is still thinking about it as she has plenty of adventures around the world planned and will miss several games so we are still trying to work out the value.
