An affair?

Has Naylor been having an affair with Mrs Cook?

Hammered again yesterday despite 65% possession and 18 shots (just 3 on target, a visit to Specsavers indicated?), Naylor not in the starting eleven and remains nailed to the bench. He is a better defender than any of the defenders we are starting IMO, certainly a better defensive midfielder than anyone on our books, and probably better as an attacking central midfielder too.

Truth is we were only consistently any good when Araujo was playing at the back and Naylor was playing in front of him. It will soon be time for the Retained List, so which of these failures are we committed to for another year, and who are we able to ditch? We seem quite smug, but where are we, fifteenth? We effectively wrecked Kane Drummond and dispensed with James Berry and have handed our immediate future to 13 players aged 30+, I don't get it, and it all sounds more like the surreal Peter Cook than Paul Cook ......

We scored five at the Choccy Weetaflakes Stadium or whatever it is called (to attract the kids back after the abuse? Hush my mouth, I can't possibly have written that!) and they bang three past us at our own stupidly branded home!

Madden ahead of Hobson Mandeville Drummond or Duffy??? He's done FA all season but gets a start. Explain.
There's not many times Naylor has played in midfield this season but it's by far his best position.
Injuries have done us this season. It's either age or crap training.
We even managed to sell Berry 2 months ago and he's not even managed to get his boots on since. Genius.
Somebody needs to give their head a wobble and fast.

When we signed Naylor I was a bit doubtful, but he would make our best eleven at full back, centre back, defensive midfield or even attacking midfield. He has been a star for us.

Whatever the opposite of a star is then Paddy Madden has qualified along with John Fleck. They've been paid under false pretences.

Hobson and Drummond have never been given the proper run they deserved and needed. Why we would plan for them to fail I don't know, but that is how it looks.

And Mandeville has done everything he could to get us back to the EFL and now we think we can manage without his versatility, his astute passing and his dead-ball skills. Why?

The changes made for the Colchester game looked like the random-select button had been given a good pressing.

If you are leaving out Dobra that's fine, but don't leave him out against a club at which he hated his time and wasn't given a proper chance. Everyone (almost) turns in a performance against a former team! Especially if they were unhappy there.

Before his injury Metcalfe played very well alongside Naylor, now he can't get on the field. Why?

Last Saturday Sheckleford couldn't make the bench, by Tuesday he's in the team.

Palmer and Grimes is a very National-League centre back combo isn't it? But they aren't the only problem.

Hobson gets on, taken off early again, he needs a run of games. He did well at Barnet because he was playing every week. Innit obvious? Onviously not!

We don't need much ..... just some different and younger players ...... and a different system.

Mr Cook seems to be at a loss at the moment and he shouldn't be. He is miles better than this. Pick your best eleven players mate, sort out the system that will make the most of them.

Our game used to be score more than them. Can you blame the defence for a 1-0 defeat when we managed 2 on target shots and their keeper had nothing to save? I don't think so.
We score 5 against Donny then stutter and fart about for the next 4 games. Not sure what we train with but some goalposts and a net would be a good investment ATM.

Really sad news about Phil Kirk. Life can be a bitch. Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said other than CFC want to go out tomorrow and say thank you in style because he deserves it.
