THE LAST MATCH

I started typing this and suddenly realised I was describing a win, with three goals scored and with Nuhiu and May scoring one each - and then thought "Don't be so bloody daft!!". But its true, really, its xxxx true!!!!  

But lets not get carried away!!  Lets be honest Millwall are shite at the moment, yet they definitely had the better of the first half and had they not had GTF up front they could have been comfortable ahead at half time.  But as Maddix said on the match thread for once the stats of attempts, on target and scored were for once clinical in our favour!!!

Enjoy the Nuhiu back heel, May holding off the defender and McGugan scoring with his arse a mere inches off the ground!!  But probably most important of all enjoy the fabulous off the line clearance by Palmer in the first half to keep the score 0-0!!




THE MATCH - SAT 28TH FEB 2015 15.00 GMT

So there is no doubt that the positivity exhibited on the Millwall thread worked wonders!!  So lets try it again!!

So lets start with the positive in our favour record against them - P103 W45 D17 L42!! Then we will add the positive fact that we are unbeaten in the last 4 meetings, of which we have won three of them!!   And we will finish with the fact that the first meeting this season was probably our best performance of the season, going 3-0 up at their place with a brace from Nuhiu and a goal for May (sounds strangely familiar these days doesn't it!!).   Had it not been for two dodgy late penalties for them it would have been our best result of the season, still with them in 2nd place, it still looks like the best result anyway!!




CLASSIC MATCH

Back to the 1998-99 season for this games classic video, a nice home win in the Premier League.  A game which saw some stars playing such as Des Walker (best SWFC CH ever??), Niclas Alexandersson, Benito Carbone and Kevin Pressman playing for us and Gary Pallister, Andy Townsend and Paul Gascoigne playing for Boro!!  We ran out 3-1 winners with Andy Booth getting a brace (was he our Nuhiu of the late 90s?? ) and Danny Sonner getting the other, Robbie Mustoe scored for them before moving to us later in his career and now he is one of the pundits on US tv for their Premier League coverage!!  Also worth noting that the Boro goalkeeper that day was Mark Schwarzer who is still playing in the prem today with Leicester City!!
