I'm sure we all wish him well, as he seems a thoroughly good man. Personally, I feel it's good for both parties - I'd sooner win 1 and lose 2, and play with an attacking intent, than draw all 3 playing in the negative style.
But I certainly recognise that we are in a MASSIVELY better positive than when Carlos arrived - without him I'm sure we'd be down at least 1 division, so many, many thanks from me! Thumb up Thumb up Big Grin

Completely agree Drewks. I guess he was going to leave at some point so nothing but thanks from me as well.

Johnny Heitinga is one of the names being discussed at the moment. He’s currently at Liverpool as one of the coaches and was head coach at Ajax for half a season and had a good record with them. Would be a risk, but also could be an exciting proposition with the football he’d bring

Can we afford Liverpool level compensation, or wages?

Times might be tough, but I reckon we can rustle up a few hub-caps from somewhere.

Sorry to see him go, he did well under difficult trying circumstances, and a very low budget. He has also been unlucky with some serious long term injuries in key roles. I wish him well for all his future endeavours unless he goes to vile or the dingles. Not sure I would want him back in the role though, it has never worked well in the past, as they say “never go back”.

As for the names mentioned, not keen on Williams or the sacked guy from Stjoke city nil, Robins has done well on our kind of budget for a team of similar stature. Could be the guy, plays attractive attacking Albion style football. Potter could bring a little magic to our beloved club. Heitinga is an unknown quantity, has he had a full time HC role o& his own..

Need to get a replacement soon to steady the ship and start getting the wins our squad deserves.

Latest from Lewis Cox would seem to suggest that Williams is not a candidate; I share Bluebaggie’s opinion on him so pleased if this turns out to be true. Of the names being bandied about, I think Heitinga would be an interesting choice, although I accept he’s largely untried.
I do trust the current owner far more than previous incumbents to select the right person but how do others feel about not making an appointment now, keeping with the interim team and see what transpires in the close season?
I appreciate this probably means no promotion but I honestly don’t t think we would have achieved it under CC this season anyway and I don’t believe a new manager now would deliver it either

Led 1-0 most of the match, were playing ten men for the last ten minutes, and somehow managed to lose 2-1 to a last-gasp goal from a Black Country lad Rolleyes

That'll be Valencia after Brunty now Laugh
