Top of the Championship for the first time, by my reckoning, since this point three years ago, the high-flying Baggies have the chance to set the pace for the promotion race this Saturday with the visit of Plymouth to the Hawthorns. Since last August, Stockport County are the only Football League club to have kept more clean sheets at home than Albion's fourteen, while the Pilgrims remain winless in West Bromwich since April 1993. However, Argyle did lend a helping hand to lift us to the summit last weekend with a last-gasp winner against Sunderland, and summer appointment Wayne Rooney will be looking to turn around a highly dubious managerial record to date - admittedly not helped by financial circumstances in at least two appointments - with a more stable club.

As with last week's encounter, banana skin vibes abound, but on paper there's absolutely no reason why Albion shouldn't sidestep any slip-up and deliver another positive result to keep momentum going. Come on you Baggies.

I've got some good Argyle mates down here (in Cornwall). Just shouted over to one "Good luck! (That might keep it down to 5-0!)"

It's pi**ing down here this morning - what's it doing up there today? Full house?

Quite sunny at the minute, though there are clouds about and thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon. Think we're going to be spared the worst of the rain till tomorrow though.
