After our most resounding away win since the demolition of Preston back in September, Albion bid farewell to February in Saturday's early kick-off against Hull; just one point and place beneath us in the table courtesy of three 2-1 victories on the trot, the last of which did what we were unable to in putting Southampton to the sword.

Having beaten Albion in the corresponding fixture last season, Liam Rosenior's men could make it two in a row against the Baggies at home for the first time since 1987 this weekend. Though their form at the KC/KCOM/MKM Stadium (delete as applicable) is as changeable as the ground's name - they've alternated perfectly between wins and defeats there every week since November - they were beaten by Swansea last time out, and have never lost back-to-back on home turf under Rosenior, so the pattern suggests they're due to turn in a performance. Jaden Philogene is liable to be a threat from out wide, as is Abdülkadir Ömür üp frönt.

With John Swift a doubt, the cards will more than likely be shuffled, and the opportunity's there for Mikey Johnston to make the starting line-up for the first time on the road after his superb showing off the bench on Tuesday. A win's not out of the question, but it's another tough encounter where a draw would probably do us.

This is a real tricky one.
Hull seem to be obviously on a good run, but maybe the onus being on them, as the home team, will favour us for a change.
With the 2 loan boys up front we maybe now have the all round ammunition to not only defend up and down the pitch, but attack with purpose and speed.
I'm hopeful of a draw at least, but crossing everything and hoping for all 3 points which will make the table look a lot better for us

Agree Drewks. Before the game I think most of us would have settled for a point; having watched it, I felt it could have gone either way but, at the end, I felt slightly disappointed we hadn’t won. I thought Grady had one his worst games for a long while so couldn’t understand why Fellows was taken off when Swift came on. I groaned when Reach appeared but I thought he played pretty well and nearly won it so what do I know?

All in all, would have liked three points but happy with the one

Hi guys, not on too often now but drewks, your right it is a lot quieter on here than it used to be, I guess it’s a mixture of a bad manager(s) (pulis, big Sam etc), a poor owner, little in the way of pulse racing signings, covid. People’s interest has waned.
I love Albion and will forever but modern football, the bias and monopoly of so few has really diminished my love for the sport. New owner brings new hope but we still can’t compete, can’t afford to challenge for silverware.

As to the game and the result, a good point, would have preferred three, which was achievable. Other results meant our draw was not the end of the world.

Let’s hope we can get to Wembley and back to the greed league before the gap becomes in insurmountable.
