2023: January Transfer Window

If we can't afford to keep Pieter's it's things are tight. No parachute money £25m and £5m loan repayment. That's £30m less then last year and we had to take £20m loan out to keep going. With a few players binned that saves us a max of £5m a year in wages. Massive restructuring is needed across the whole club. 50% of employees have to go or Administration here we come.
Cash wise we have nothing unless we sell a few players.

I just bought a t-shirt and hoodie from the club shop so hopefully that will help! Whistle

Missing out on targets already ..... And to Big clubs Bristol City and Shrewsbury Town.

No disrespect, well a little disrespect, but it does not bode well for our transfer window and next season. Manager off to Leeds Whistle Whistle Whistle , no money, and losing out to clubs that finished below us this season.

Wonder what next seasons operating "loan" will be secured against?

Increase MSD loan is an option.
Several things could happen but don't think for a minute Lai will sell. The Chinese don't sell while they can get a fiver out of the petty cash.
It could be horrid if they decide to sell what they can, Dara, Molumby, Okay, Swift, Wallace could fetch some money but we could forget about promotion.

I've already forgotten about promotion, King Carlos will be gone, we will bring in a Pulls type character, that operates on a shoestring and is not bothered about entertaining fans merely surviving in whichever league they are in.
Back to years of mediocrity ..... Pre 2002 here we come.

I am in this camp of expectation as well.

I have no choice and my natural and healthier approach is optimism. Not Rose tinted glasses but at least a half full approach.

CC will resist and be loyal to his contract and we will buy three or four unknowns that will turn out to be assets next season and we will be in the top half of the league if not in a promotion place.

Somewhere in the summer or early season Albion will be sold.

Stairs,

If your predictions come true that's not a glass half full, that's a bucket of champers overflowing and still pouring.
I would take CC staying, pushing for promotion, entertaining football and a new owner in the vein of Wrexhams.

However, my experience of being an Albion fan is one of, if it can go wrong it will, we will always find a way to louse it up, we do everything the hard way.

Here's hoping for your scenario Stairs.

One way to generate transfer funds, or is it the final asset stripping?
