I would imagine a fair chunk of those top two were (and are) paid by the host club.

Got the reason for the booing yet Snoots?

and folk ask "Where did the money go?"

That's before you pay into pensions, managers/coaches/physio's/directors/office staff and all the other staff that you need to run a business that is otherwise called a football club. Then there's the travel, (yes I know the home team pays the away teams reasonable travel expenses, but it even's out over the season, it still has to be paid), the refs, the food and drinks, the kit (mostly sponsored I would hope, but don't forget the boots), the stadium rent, the printers, the IT staff, computer software and hardware, other match day expenses that aren't covered by "The Stadium Company", the vehicles (though company cars seem to be thin on the ground), the energy bills. It goes on as there are loads of "local suppliers" that also need paying for goods and services and generally these are the little guys that get hurt most if administration hits.

The last set of "books" in Companies House for year ending June 2021, Town had 71 players and 121 staff on the books, down from 77 and 176 the year before. When Warnock talks about relegation means job losses, this is where he's coming from. 50 former employees, whether full or part-time had to find other employment and this was our 2nd season back in The Championship. The next set of "books" aren't due at Companies House again until June and that will be for last season, not this one.

Oh, and don't forget that other barsteward - The Taxman. Yes I know why we pay taxes, I just wish we had a government that knows it too, but now I'm heading off in another direction.

Yes but, no other ex players get booed, apart from Jack Hunt.

that's because the ones we would boo have buggered off abroad to count all that cash they earned off us

... and we paid Norwich £10m for him and got sod all back as a transfer fee as nobody wanted to pay those wages while he still had a contract. I don't do the booing thing either but I know when I've been mugged off. I suspect there's a few others that might too, so I get why they might do it, given how generally piss poor he was when he did condescend play, particularly in The Chumpionship. If it comes to value for money, where would you rank him alongside, oooh, Jimmy Nicholson, Colin Dobson, Steve Smith and Chopper McGill let alone Jimmy Lawson? He came in saying he could "play the quality balls" but I don't recall him doing it too often or on a regular basis. I wouldn't let him lace their boots, let alone let him think he's fit to do it.

Scores not going our way so far. We're gonna be stuffed by the time that Cardiff game comes around.

It didn't turn out too badly

Cardiff won, but are still in the mix
Rotherham drew and are still in the mix
QPR drew as did Reading meaning they didn't gain ground on us and are still below us
Blackpool lost and look doomed
Wigan won but still look doomed

and everyone has one game less to survive.

That late Luton leveller was a lifeline. If we'd been in the bottom three this morning, it could've been disastrous. As it is, roll on Saturday and the pressure's on the others.

However, looking at the fixtures, Cardiff will probably be safe by the time we go there. That was a big blow them winning last night.

Stoke appear to have clocked off and they have Cardiff and QPR to play. We're gonna have to beat Cardiff and Sheffield United to be in with a shout when that Reading game comes around.

Bloody Lancashire pricks!  Angry

Only Mark Robins can hold his head up today. The rest of them. Shameful!

It's gonna go down to the reading game. Although if we go to Cardiff and get something from it then I'd rate our chances higher, it's in our own hands
