As long as he's prepared to put a shift in I wouldn't drop him - who else have we got who'll score enough? But who knows what state his head will be in when he gets on the pitch?

A lot of wise words on here, he needs to be careful what he says and to whom, he has said that he owes the club a lot, it is clear he will try his best for the albion, he is however young and maybe a little reckless, keep supporting him, encourage him to perform and the club and results will be okay ...... we are not going to be able to challenge for the title or European glory anytime soon, so yes any player would want to move on at some point, we all would, we want to be the best that we can be work with the best there is and get as much as we can

Silver, I acknowledge your point, I do not work in an industry where I am likely to be head hunted, if I was a sports person and I could get a move to a club / employer who would pay me more and give me a chance to perform at a level, the very best that my sport could offer maybe I would at his age likely say things to improve those chances ..... not saying it is right but they do not live in the real world and it is a market force economy ..... would love him to stay and for albion to challenge for major honours but we do not have the finances to make that dream a reality, can not attract players the class of Darren Fletcher in their prime only towards the end. Sky, the FA and the greed league have created this situation.

That buzz we used to get when we were all in it together is eroding. You can see it, and feel it, on match days. Why did I actually prefer the day out when we - and the team - felt "as one"?

My heart is very much in the drop him camp, but my head says play him, not because I think he is a great player, I actually believe he's over rated, but he is still our best goal scorer, which is more of a damning indictment of the current squad. I agree we should get rid for silly money in the summer and let him be a bench warmer at a 'big club', the only problem there is though, will any of the big clubs really want him, the lad is delusional.
