We made a great signing on deadline day in September in Steven Alzate on loan from Brighton.

Unfortunately that deal was submitted after the deadline Doh

Am I hopeful of any deals today going through on time today? I wouldn't hold my breath but I'm sure we'll see at least 1 incoming.

With the domino effect of deadline day, I suspect things will go to the wire again. We're probably still pushing for a deal for O'Brien, but have Chalobah waiting in the wings as an alternative. Always risky business as lots of Championship sides are all in the loan market for the same players.

In addition, I suspect we're desperately ringing around for a winger to come in on loan, with Phillips injured and Grady and Grant equally useless.

On the subject of Grant, could he be sold at the last minute? Stoke were linked and will have cash if the Souttar sale to Leicester goes through. Wouldn't surprise me if he is sold at the last minute, just like Callum Robinson was in September. Those last minute deals are great for the cash just to be "forgotten" about.

I really do think we need at least 2 or 3 first teamers to come in if we're to have a proper promotion push. That's not going to happen as our finances will only stretch to players who nobody else wants.

At least with the donkey gone there is now a free treatment stall available for Dike or Grant.

Let's give him a warm welcome
I'm not expecting miracles from our financial position. A fair player to have on the bench.

The new player has played 28 times for Fulham since moving on from Watford in 2021 - but has featured for only four minutes this season since being sent off against Newcastle on 1 October.
Great.
So 6 weeks to get him fit to see if he's any better than what we have got.
Not a great signing me thinks Huh at least for the near future.

Any thoughts???

He may well be fit, being in a PL squad, but not match sharp...... wouldn't think it would take more than 3-4 weeks to get him there, surely?
