There are suggestions out there that getting 5 loan players from one team is against the rules, has anything been said with regard to this move?? I remember a couple of years ago Watford had I think 11 loan players but because they were international loans it got around the English FA rules, could this also be the case for these 5?

Yep, there's no limit on international loans in Scotland too.

There's a limit on two from teams out-with your division, and one from teams within your division, up to a total of four overall. International loans have no restrictions at all, I think. The disparity between the rules seems rather strange, but hey-ho, while the rules are as they are there's no problem with using them.

The only doubt appears to be over Remi Streete who apparently played an U21 match for Newcastle before joining Port Vale at the start of the season, which would mean he can't play for another team this season (as he's already played for two). Whether the SFA rules are reliant on the UEFA/FIFA rules - as used to freeze out Hatem Ben Arfa from moving to Nice earlier - remains to be seen. I'm not even sure the two cases are remotely similar, to be honest.

The SFA reportedly have already said that there are no problems with their registration, so maybe it's just jealous, hateful types - and we all know who they are - stirring up some shite or other.

Oh yes we all know who is making these accusations!! Mainly seen it from Hibs fans so far!!

I do know that after the Watford case, the FA in England changed the international rules and closed the "loophole" that Watford used in the first instance, but if the SFA still has no restriction then you should use the system as best you can!! It also makes perfect sense for MA to use his influence in this way and fianlly gives him some credibility with the fans with this being a football benefit from him rather than just a monetary one!! Its all about who you know, not what you know!!

Well, with the state of our scouting system as it is, we need to know as many people as we can! Every contact we can use should be used.

To be honest, I've always thought that Ashley wasn't doing all this just for the money - oh I'm sure he doesn't want to waste money by bank-rolling a massive spending spree - but something else must be driving him to do what he's doing, and it's clearly not sheer malevolence.

No, he is not running a charity, he will want a return on his investment. MA sees that the real prize with you guys is to get you back to the top division and challenging for honors, both domestic and in Europe! That is where the money is. Its no coincidence that last weekends game probably produced more column inches in Scottish football than any other game in the last three years!! Along with Celtic, you are the biggest draw from both a fan base and commercial aspect, the fact they the club has been run by a bunch of crooks does not diminish that, MA wants to be the guy to reap the benefits of that potential exposure and even though the game itself was a non-contest it clearly highlighted the potential for the future if you can get your act together both on and off the field!!

Get in the real world Fred and stop reading Edgie's tripe on the other forum!!

Loans from premiership teams are often done with no money changing hands and the prem team picking up the wages!! My own club have used this tactic many times over the past few years. Sometimes wages are part of it, but not always!! This is about MA giving Rangers some much needed fresh players and getting some real game time for some of his youngsters and squad players!!
