Had the pleasure of seeing him open for Quo in Brum a few years back, an evening that followed an afternoon of watching Town beat Brum at St. Andrews. What a nice boozy day that turned into. Big Grin "Milk and Alcohol?" We only got the alcohol - oh and a meal somewhere round the corner from whatever the Indoor Arena was called back then.

There's at least three articles in the Grauniad, this one at least explains where his musical style came from, if not why he always had ants in his britches on stage to the end. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/n...n-obituary
